So people say "Well it's better than nothing"

But is there anything that is "Worse than nothing"?

PS: Don't go all philosophical "afterlife" scenarios on me, it has to relate to the physical present/past/future

Well one would first have to exactly define nothing, is it in a common sense ie. air is "nothing", or is in a fully literal sense as in a vacuum?

The statement is fundamentally flawed. I've heard people saying "Anything is better than nothing, I suppose.", but this phrase is, quite frankly, bollocks. If I had a choice of a day when nothing happened and a day where I got stabbed, well, sign me up for a long boring day of nothing.

Basically it's just an optimistic catchphrase, like "Every cloud has a silver lining" and stuff like that. I don't think it's really meant to be taken seriously or analysed in any in-depth way.

Genital trauma is the worse trauma! Worst then PTSD! Unless it's PTSD for genital trauma! That's worse then no trauma at all!
