So apart from that, what kind of features would you like to see in BG&E 2 ?

I remember when this came out. I saw the box art and I simply shrugged and moved on. From what I've read though it's an amazing game, so this will finally give me a chance to see what all the fuss is about.

I actually bought this game, got stuck on on the final boss for a few years and then after beating it was glad i only just finished the game due to the epic cliffhanger and the lack of a sequel.

If the graphics were vastly improved i might buy it again just for old times sake (even though i stil have the original copy)

Its a good game that my ADD attention span never allowed me to fully complete. Steam had a 4 for 10 dollar game sale that included Far Cry and Beyond Good and Evil that I snapped right up, and I own it for the PS2.

Who are these people? Why is he a pig? What's with the children, or the light house? Why is Hillys at war? What is the war about? Why do pearls look weird? Who IS Jade, anyway? What is a soul eater?

I never really got into it because it left too much to be explained, but it's awesome as far as visuals, puzzles, and gameplay go.

Why is he a pig? - Some people are just animals. Different species 'n such. Space travel is real in this universe.
What's with the children, or the light house? -What does a nice pig like Pey'j do after he's done SPOILERing?

Why do pearls look weird?- They're game Mcguffins. Do you question the stars in Mario, too?
Who IS Jade, anyway?- Explained

Its really worth it to play it further. If, for some odd reason, you don't enjoy the gameplay, There's This [http://lparchive.org/Beyond-Good-and-Evil/] enjoyable Let's Play.
I'd be suprised if you really can't get into the game, but if not, I guess to each their own, then.

In BG&E2, I'd like to see more fleshing out of Pey'j's character- he's obviously a gritty, old patriarch in a porky-pig wrapper.

But that's the point, to find out why things are the way they are. You play as an investigative journalist ffs.

Your a little to vague on 1,7 and 9 it's been a wanna since I visited Hillys could you remind me?

Spoiler: For the rest... Spoilers and theories ahead.

2.It isn't earth and they have inter planetary travel the majority populous is terran like humaniod but other species are welcome as well (Like Star Trek or Star Wars)

3.They're orphans I believe mostly from thier parents/guardians being killed/missing/kidnapped by the Domz.

4.The lighthouse belonged to Pey'j before Jade started the Orphange it was apart of the resistance when he used to fight against the Domz with Jades parents after they died he just wanted to take care of Jade as a favor to them which is why he wasn't to keen on helping her join the current one.

5.Hillys isn't at war it's under attack by an alien race that only wants to conquer the rest of the galaxy/universe or bring other into it's collective as servents/slaves/drones.

6.The Domz want to rule the universe by force and manipulation of the media to sneak by the early defenses to more easily take over planets with minimal resistance.

8.Jade... is well ... Jade they kind of explain her story bit by bit during the game but the final boss hints or leads you to believe she is part/full Domz with a true name (Ashune or something) so wiether one or both of her parents is/are a Domz or some how she took on terran from because of them is yet to be explained in detail likely what a sequal would have lead too.

I played this on PC when it was new. I can't think of any game more underrated than this one. The pc version had some control issues but it really didn't bother me too much once i got used to it. I don't recall any part of the game I didn't like. I thought I wouldn't like using the camera to snap pictures of stuff but I was wrong.

I can't think of any game more underrated than this one.

I do, that's Omikron: the Nomad Soul, featuring David Bowie's soundtrack, and even cameos. either that one or Psychonauts among other forgotten gems.

I'm so glad they are reviving all these great games in HD. I'm playing through the Sly set now, and it's loads of fun. Beyond Good & Evil is perhaps my all time favorite game, so I can't wait for it to come out again.
