Beyond mass effect 3 what next?

Hopefully something where we can create a character that does he (or her) own thing. Like you could be a space captain or a space pirate or a space-tronaut or a space whatever you want.

After ME3, EA shall probably comission side stories that are based on characters that didnt make the team from game to game. Like how Garrus basically became Space-Batman.

I want a non-MMO RPG. Something like an Elder Scrolls game set in the Mass Effect universe. Give me the ability to choose from a bunch of races and allow me to roam around the galaxy just doing my thing, joining a merc band or setting out on my own as a bounty hunter, applying for Spectre training, maybe working towards some sort of goal or something.

As much as i want to pause this, i cant help but agree. My thing is that the problem with MMOs and Skyrim like games is that the complete openess comes at an extreme cost of worldwide texture. Plus i just dont feel like investing in a gaming pc. I really think they should get some advice from the dragon age team on creating a converging... I GOT IT


Surely there is enough of a universe to create uniqure and converging stories that could involve outside characters on their path toward fighting the reaper invasion. It seems that from the multiplayer mode that all of the races will be united in fighting. How awesome would it be for a dragon age style epic where you start out as a maiden Asari joining a milita, a Turian in the fleet or a Quarian on pilgrimage?

I'm betting a MMO , they have all the basic framework already with TOR , they have a good engine and devs just swap the star wars stuff for ME stuff and bingo. Naturally it would take time because of the voice acting but yeah.

Bioware should licence Larry Niven's Known Space and then they can have a universe where the lore isn't baked up in six months.
