BF Bad Comapny 2 question

Today was the first time I picked the game up in about a month. Played a few matches this morning and to the best of my knowledge there was no funny business going on. Got back on about an hour and a half ago to find that my online status had been completely reset. I know this is notoriously the punishment for hackers in video games but I know I didn't hack/mod and I don't recall seeing evidence of anyone else modding either.

My question is this; is there any other possible reason this would happen other than modder punishment? And if no, will contacting EA customer support help the issue? Or would it just be a major waste of my time?

Also, will continuing to play online before this is resolved effect anything? I wouldn't think so but this is the first time this has happened so am not entirely sure.

Were you playing on a punkbuster enabled server? Only ones with it enabled save data.

This happens to me alot. Give it a little bit and it resets itself. Scared me the first two times it happened.

That happened to me actually. I got it to work by signing in at the main menu to BC2. And then it would reset my controls and sensitivity. Which was a major pain in the ass for me.

EDIT: This was on the 360 version.

The stats servers can be very finicky about whether or not they'll actually send your data to you at login.

I've had to relog several times on multiple occasions because I've logged in to find that I have no unlocks/ranks.

I'd suspect it might be that but I wouldn't know for sure.

Its just rather buggy servers thats all. Shouldnt be too much of an issue, just give it time.
