So i will start off by saying that I am a PC gamer with a roomate who owns a PS3. I got a key and downloaded the game so I could see how the game looked. I gotta say I am really looking forward to this game now that I have seen how its gonna look. I hated playing the game because I just can't get used to not being able to snap turn and such but after seeing how it looks and the mechanics of the game I am stoked and glad I got the game on preorder already. I have MW2 and like it but in terms of sheer awesomness BC2 looks like it will be a better game, although probably not have the sales because BF seems to have less of a following(for better or worse). Anyone else had a look at the demo?

...I don't even know what you're talking about.

You can't just use a bunch of acronyms and expect people to know their meaning.
"BF BC2 PS3..."

Only one of those is obvious.
Really? BF is usually known as "Battlefield", and BC2 can be deduced to mean "Bad Company 2".

Btw - is it true about the destructible enviornment? Can you really do it like in Red Faction?

I didn't play super long because I started to get annoyed with the PS3 controllers and shit but as far as I can tell buildings are demolishable. Not like Red Faction where 3 hits takes it down but you can definitely punch holes through walls with tanks and take out chain link fence and shit to make travel easier.

i saw an gameplay video where the player's team planted the bomb on the gold case while the player himself planted c4 charges in parts of the house
the building fell on top of the people when they tried to disarm the bomb

I would be quite suprised if the majority of people here didn't get those acronyms within 5 sec or something.

Most people (should) know about Battlefield, and BF2, BF1942, BF2142 are used enough for people to recognize BF as battlefield.
If people know about new/upcoming games, which is easy to assume given tha nature of this very site, so knowing about Bad Company 2 is not un-imaginable, add that to the previously mentioned BF and i gues smost people can figure it out easily.

What this has to do with PS3, the gratly awaited sequel to the ghost-bukkakke porn flick Plasma-Shower 2 leaves me clueless though.

Every more or lesser known game genre is beeing typed as acromyns on this forum all the time (spare those we're it makes no sense liek 1 word titles ofc)

Was never a fan of the Battlefield series. The whole large-scale thing is kinda annoying. If you die it takes you like an hour to get back into the fray. Pretty much the definition of not fun.

only if you're playing a bad game of project reality would i say this is true. i stress the bad part there, that game can be quite intense way to spend 3hours.
In the game, you just select a spawn close to action, most of which does occur near flags/spawn points.
time from spawn to fight is often less than minute, and you have the advantage of knowing your bearings before being attacked.
i dare say the pacing is near perfect for an MP game.

Nnnno, that would be PS3.

As I've said before, I'd never heard of this game before.

Yeah, well, I don't play those games.
If I had known what it was about, I would never have posted in this thread.

But OP should still state at least once what game he's talking about.
I guess we've got differetn oppinions then, so i'll leave it here.

Though i'll leave with this:

The buildings were destructable in the first one, so no big deal really.

Still, plowing into someone's sniper nest in a tank never gets old.

That's the thing I like about Battlefield, I can never really get into small scale FPS. BFBC2 probably won't be like the older ones though.

So while playing the beta on ps3 today I noticed a fellow player falling from a building (as far as I could tell) with a parachute attached. As someone who enjoys skydiving I'm always impressed with parachutes in gaming. Has anyone else seen anything like this? I looked online and can't figure out how to do this or what its purpose is.

I wish that there was one for the 360... Is there?

I just got the first one and loved it and I'm very excited for the sequel. It looks great.
