Having played Battlefield 3's alpha test and with the beta being released on Thursday. I want to know who is looking forward to BF3. and weather they have played any version of the game to date.
I really enjoyed the game when I played it A few thing I noticed that differed it from its cousin BFBC2 and it's older brother BF2:
Medics have Assault rifles and Assault's have LMGs
I didnt see any claymores, and I couldn't find the button for them.
The recoil is pretty huge. I largely used the Engineer class and the SMG's recoil is immense; you can still one shot to get ranged kills though.
SMG's are not silenced by default. TBH I dont know if they can be after unlocks.
I didn't get to try out Shotguns with slugs or any other shotgun type for that matter. Nor was I killed by any.
Map design was quite good, It did promote camping a little with 2 large 4 or 5 story buildings looking over a street. however they were easy to flush out with explosives. there were a few to many choke points for my liking but with only one 10 minute game I can't be sure of any flanking routes.
