This marks the first post on the escapist with my new PC.
While I may be using an aged Dell keyboard with dust in between the keys, and the graphics card makes a funny noise where a friend of my sister's (helped with the PC) broke off a couple of fan blades (we're gonna get a replacement), this is gonna be a good computer.

I love it, and I'm excited to see where we go together.
I christened her Kathleen, after my grandmother.

I've also got over 1k posts here, showing how much time I've put into this place.

Discussion: What are your recent/ major accomplishments? How do they stack up to others mentioned here?

The only accomplishment I've had recently is signing a contract for a programming job with Microsoft, and in the process, turning down Amazon for a job.
I felt super awesome having to send an email to them to turn them down.

Finally got the courage to build my own computer, I ended up spending 1100GBP (1745USD), I was successful.
In terms of career, can't say I've achieved anything there, pretty much same shit different day, learning new "little things" each day.
Come to think of it, I feel I had more interesting achievements when I was younger. I climbed Mount Snowdon when I was 11 on a school trip, I got passed grade 5 on piano when I was 12, I learnt to read and write Chinese in the space of two years and got a GCSE (grade A) when I was 16.
