Big Pile O'Games

[Paragon Fury]

So after Christmas and my birthday I've got myself a bit of a pile o'games to play. Problem is, I can't decide WHAT to play first. So maybe you can help Escapist. Here the list of games I have that I got for Christmas/haven't beaten yet:

Dishonored
The Witcher 2 (Had from before Christmas, haven't beaten yet)
Dark Souls (Had from before Christmas, haven't beaten yet)
XCOM: Enemy Unknown
Guild Wars 2
Borderlands 2


I'm not very far into Dark Souls or The Witcher 2 yet though.

Run with Dishonored, it's a solid game for around 8-20 hours, depending on your play-style and competence. It's like a thief game that periodically forgets about loot and lets you kill as many as you want in hilarious ways, but it's your choice to either run undetected or blow the whole city up.

I`d say The Witcher 2. Probably since it`s the only game from that list that I´ve played. And probably since i really enjoyed it. The story was really interesting and the game wasn`t just a hack-and-slash. Blindly going into combat, especially at the start, didn`t end well. At least not for me. I had to think before fighting, and had to do so mid-fight, too. And i enjoyed it.

But, yeah. Fun, and interesting. Pretty, as well! The Witcher 2 is what i recommend.

Fear not OP, I am also in the unfortunate (?) position of getting a shit ton of games and was frozen by indecision...

Far Cry 3
XCOM

I have also owned but have not yet played
Resonance of Fate
Darkness II

I ended up going from what I was least interested in (Far Cry 3) and will work my way through until I get to what I'm most interested in (XCOM).

Personally, I can only play one game at a time so in your situation, I would play through XCOM and Witcher 2 first since you've already started them.

Consider yourself affortunate and be glad you actually DO have games to play than you (probably) will enjoy.


I hav little to no game that I am interested in right now, this year was pretty shitty and lacked good videogames IMO.

I got 4 games (Nier, Resonance of Fate, Dishonored and Hitman: Absolution) and I will play Resonance of Fate first, why? Because why not, looks the most fun.

I would say play Borderlands 2, never played it myself, but my uncle seems to like it well enough.

I've had Resonance sitting in my "play me eventually...seriously, you've owned me for like, a damn year, what the hell is taking so damn long" pile. When you've gotten a decent way through it, let me know what you think of it please!

Oh privileged kids and their big piles of gifts these days. How about donating one of those games to charity so some unfortunate kid can get a chance to play? Oh wait, he needs a console first...

however is you feel you got to much RPGness then play an rpg first then break it up with dishonured after.
