I remember him. Pain in the ASS to kill, even above level 29.

Those motherfucking Out Riders/Mad Mel's Patrols in Dahl Headlands. They're incredibly annoying to kill, mostly because they're so fast and your car's guns suck. Then I get out of the car and fire about 200 SMG shots at them and maybe they'll die if I'm damn lucky.

Super Mutant Overlords from FO3. Brutal, very high damage enemies and on top of that they take an entire armoury to bring down... Brutal game with brutal enemies.

Cazadors! the bitches always atk in packs and zip around so fast you end up shooting randomly all over the playing screaming "shit shit shit where the fck did those come from?!"
I feel ya brother, I usually have the same reaction. Damn big bugs.
Reapers from Resident Evil 5. Seriously, the first time I fought them I thought"Oh, giant bug, very original RE. Now I'll handily kill it with this new MachineGun and...". It gets back up, I waste all my MG ammo on it and am now running like a scared little *****, praying Sheva keeps up. Ah, good times...
Yeah Sheva never was fast enough. ;)

The Librarian from Metro 2033, it just wont die after unloading a shotgun in it's face. And then there are his friends lurking around the corner.
Also the Reavers from FO3.

As above the Librarian from metro 2033 makes the other entrys in this thread look like leight weights cause the only way to get through the latter stages of the level is full on sprinting and preying cause your out of bullets and using your knife would just be stupid (this was on normal)

Spots in games where the enemies are on unlimited respawn, but you have a limited supply of ammo. Games like CoD World at War on Veteran. That was just a waste of time. I really doubt that the Nazis had a good 200,000 well-armed soldiers in that last damn building.
Same with Black Ops. I'm having a hard time believing that that one tunnel had that many Russian soldiers hanging out in it.

Also, Alex Mercer generally doesn't worry about ammo, but if he did, Elizabeth Greene. Holy shit.

Just a little question to you all out there. In games what do you fnd to be just big bullet sponges or just a total waste of ammo when you see them?
For me i would say the giant radscorpion from FO3 right now since ive been playing it again recently, The ammount of shots it can take sometimes just feels like a waste, sometimes i will just break its legs and walk away its not worth it.
That's nothing.

Try super mutant overlords, Ghoul Reavers, and Albino Radscorpion, those are the real bullet sponges.

Hell, even one Reaver takes at least two Mini Nukes directly before dying.
Oh god thanks for reminding me xD im glad im not there yet
[p]Oh God, the Overlords... Why did you mention the Overlords. I'd only just repressed them and I started a new game today now I'll never finish it.[/p]
[p] I mean ghoul Reavers I can handle because my ghoul mask has done the permanent item effect glitch that, come to think of it, most Beth games have so I never get attacked by them and the Radscorpions usually pose no problem but the Overlords... WHY!?[/p]
[p]Thank God I usually play good so I can have Fawkes to help, that guy can take anything :D [/p]

The Destroyer, the final boss in Borderlands.
He's an easy boss but has an absurd amount of hitpoints.
Without ammo regeneration on playthrough 2, you'll run out of ammo for all your guns and he'll still have half his health left.
To top it off, he barely even drops any goddamn loot.

Hitler had most of Berlin fighting the Russians when they invaded, so yes there were a hell of a lot of German soldiers in that building.

the Tank from L4D. its pretty much its purpose. that and the Heavy and the Scout from TF2. the Heavy can obviously take the most damage, and the Scout is just a ***** to shoot when he's running around.
I'm a freakin blur here!

From the first Mass Effect, I'd have to go with both the Colossus and Thresher Maw. Though to be honest, I've yet to fight the latter since I discovered the Mako has a cannon as well. Never actually bothered hitting the RB when in that thing until my last playthrough. My reaction was somewhere along the lines of "Wh-What!? You...You've gotta be freakin' kidding me!!"
Protip, if you get out of the Mako and kill things, you get 5x the experience! And yes, the Thresher Maw is totally killable without the Mako, and it's more fun >:)

Rad scorpians for sure. I played the first two games, their deal wasn't being bullet-proof, yo!

It was poison and being unnervingly fast!

Nazi Zombies: Anything moving after round 30

So many, so few bullets.

Unless you're fortunate enough to have one of the one-shot kill weapons that never seem to appear except when it would be inconvenient for it.

If bullets didn't go through them and hit others the game would be impossible.

FUCKING. HATE. REAVERS.

Super fast, super powerful at close range, has long-range radiation-based attacks, and are absolute shits to kill. I had the Weapon Mod Kits mod, had a modified Combat Shotgun with and Extended Magazine and Autofire Mechanism, and those bastards still took too many shots from a fully automatic shotgun.

Overlords are severely underrated enemies, when those bastards wield the Tri-Beam Laser Rifle they rape you hard, and they probably have more health than a Behemoth.
Chinese stealth suit. 2-3, maybe 4 hit kill with sneak crit.

Everything in old world blues. I brought a gatling laser and with 100 energy weapons skill I thought it would be a breeze, until everything had 6 million HP and my tickle-laser became useless.
I agree. I brought along my top grade weapons and still ran out of ammo early on. I was wondering how energy weapons did in there since I made a 'guns' build character this time around.

Not very well apparently. I brought my Gatling laser, and my Gauss rifle thinking that would be enough.

I also have explosives, but I didn't bring the missile launcher 'Annabelle' I brought the Grenade rifle 'Thump-Thump'... does nothing... nothing.

The Nightstalkers are so powerful, it's insane.

Not so much bullet sponge as time sponge, but the bosses in AC2 where you couldn't simply assassinate them, the forced duels? Ridiculous amount of time to bring those guys down. How many swords to the shoulder does it take to kill a pope?

Poison head crabs from Half Life 2. Its not that they take a lot of bullets, a waste a lot cause I'm scared of the little freaks...
