Biggest single player game map

Off the top of my head, Dwarf Fortress. Trying to cross any of the huge regions generated in that game would take forever.

Each individual square actually represents a much larger area that takes about 10 minutes to cross in real time. When you also factor in the 3 cavern layers found beneath the surface, the DF world map is ridiculously large.

I would say either Fallout or Oblivion or even GTA4, but then i remember Micecraft... i heard that thing could generate earth itself continuously over and over... Can you imagine it!?
Oh and i think games like Mass Effect dont count since the maps are small, you only go through medium areas on a galaxy map... that doesnt count xD

It was too big. It takes something like 40 minutes to FLY from one side to the other so by the time I got to start a mission, I was already sick of playing the game.imnotparanoid said:
EDIT: Google Earth Flight Sim has a pretty big map considering you can go to the moon and mars too...
Well it does turn the game into "find someplace with planes to steal" anytime you need to go somewhere without getting wildly sidetracked by ramping a car off of another car, bailing out in midair, and parachuting onto a motorcycle, then you proceed to max out your speed and slam into a wall.imnotparanoid said:
