How is it nonsensical? If you had ever been to Vegas, you'd realize that 'The Hangover' is pretty much a typical night there.
It was nonsensical for the fact that it was nonsense: Four guys go to Vegas, get drunk and random, pointless shit ensues. Top it off with a ridiculessly shoe-horned, semi serious subplot of the dentist guy and his stereotypical ballbuster of a wife who he - through his newly fond Vegas courage - tells off at the end of the movie. *ugh*

may as well have been watching two and a half men, that was how tiresome the jokes were.
Yes, that's the comparison I was looking for!

At the very least he is the only one of the cast who publically complained about it, is the only one who in fact showed any problem with Gibson being the cast, and according to Todd Phillips everyone that mattered was on board with the idea.

I acknowledge that it was possible there were others with reservations about it, but like I said in my original post 'Apparently he was the only one.' In that he is the only one to come forward to the press with his concerns, which is pretty damn unprofessional for anyone in any line of work.
Are you serious? Mel Gibson is a racist bigot and accused domestic abuser. Zach has every right to voice his concerns, better no one forgets what an asshole the guy is. He should never work again to be honest.

It's far from "unprofessional".
He has every right to voice his opinions, but not about a decision which has not yet been made on a movie he's working on. He should have made his complaints to the director, the producer, everyone that could help him, and then when the issue was resolved feel free to speak about it.

If I am having a hard time with a new colleague at work I don't talk loudly in front of clients or customers about what an asshat he is, because I would quite rightly be fired or at least put on disciplinary charges (this happened to someone I know). Instead I go and talk to my line manager, keep it professional and civil, and trust in the chain of command that my problem will be resolved.

What it feels to me like Zack has done is made sure that by going on a public television channel his bosses will see the media picking up on Gibson's involvement. The producers know that if Gibson's involvement is revealed before the movie is completed/released then a shitstorm would kick up. Zack was playing an underhand trick to force his producers to boot Gibson from the movie is what it seems like to me.

I'm not even bringing my feelings about Gibson into this, whether I think he's a racist or just a victim of circumstance has nothing to do with this situation. Zack acted unprofessionally on any conceivable standard, and I find that contemptible and more than a little childish.

And also, Mike Tyson, a rapist, wife-beating, ex-drug addicted, adulterer is fine? Sounds like some people need to reasses their priorities.

Yeah, but Mike Tyson went on talkshows to talk about how sorry he was.

And honestly, wasn't the very reason they wanted Mel Gibson in the movie because of the way he's been in the news lately? Just like with Mike Tyson in his days?

Doesn't stop the fact he bit a guys ear off

Now I like Mel Gibson, as a director. Passion Of The Christ was a really awesome film. But I can understand why people don't want to work with him

As much as I hate they idea of them making a sequel to "The Hangover", there's money to be made I suppose. I just hope it's good even after it's lost a bit of that 'refreshing' quality that made The Hangover 1(?) as funny as it was.

Only time will tell if Slick Willie's cameo will be funnier than Tysons... He's got his work cut out for him.

The first movie was good, but I think it worked better if caugth you offguard. If they try to recapture the magic twice and use similar jokes, it won't work. Zach Galifianakis is already doing the same character in Due Date, and that movie sucks (in no small part because of him).

And the cameo just make it lost a lot of credibility, both for the movie and Clinton.

Why make a sequel? does he get divorced and go on another adventure and steal another tiger and end up with another naked Chinese man in his trunk? Especially one with this fuckstick.

No, I am not going to see this movie. But wait I am predicting that Movie Bob will say this is a good movie just to promote Bill Clinton.
Just wait.

Probably no Phil Collins, but there might be a saxophone solo in there somewhere.

The real news is that there will be a HANGOVER 2.
UGH!
Don't deny it: As soon as the first one became a huge hit, there was going to be a sequel. It's inevitable.

I just don't like the idea of another Hangover movie. The first one was funny and a true pleasure to watch.

I'll wait till it comes out, if MovieBob gives it the OK, then I may see it.
