Some of you may remember a minor craze a couple of years back for so-called audible drugs. These [allegedly] work on the principle that playing two tones of varying frequency in each ear will induce a funky state of mind. Anyway, my then-girlfriend promptly torrented a bunch of the things [marketed under the name I-Doser] and we promptly forgot about them. Now, I've stumbled across the mp3s again in the depths of my hard-drive, and having recently come into the possession of a decent set of earphones, I'm going to give them a listen.
I'm quite enthusiastic about altered states of mind, but I dislike wasting time that could be spent listening to music, so I ask you.. Has anybody tried these? Do they work? To those of a scientific leaning: is the theory bullshit?
