Intro
Any arcade fan will immediately recognize the name Bionic Commando, simply a man with a bionic arm swinging around and killing bad guys, this new release puts that into 3d and gives you more that a 1-hit lifespan. The demo is multiplayer only and consists of one map and one play style, death match.
Menu
When I loaded up the demo I was pleased to hear slightly edited Zelda music (I think its Zelda) and an interesting selector....thing, I never realized how much of his body had gone bionic : /
Entering game play
I wanted to jump right into game play. Hint: don't. The game has a twisted idea of how to display the controls either it flips through them pointlessly slow or you have to hit each one for it to tell you what it does and if your fast you'll learn a couple of controls before the game starts, which resulted in my first game knowing only how to move and look around (in hindsight I probably should have looked at the other controls first) Take a stroll down to the options menu first.
Once you jump in a game you have to wait out the clock, even after your room is full, kinda annoying when you get everyone in 2 seconds and have to wait 13 more
Game play
Swinging = fun, its like spiderman except your character isn't annoying/emo. The gun controls are slightly confusing and melee feels pretty useless, real men use guns. The game play is fairly chaotic and you'll often be killed by people you never saw.
Graphics
Maybe because its a demo, maybe because its multiplayer, maybe this is a different game (I'm barely paying attention to this game), but the Bionic Commando I keep hearing about....thought it would look better.
Overall
This game isn't going to win any awards for its multiplayer, but its still fun. The sniper (personal favorite) is actually good, which some games seem to overlook. Its worth looking at, but honestly if it wasn't for the music at the menu I would have deleted it by now.
