Bioshock 1 save -> Bioshock 2?

I didn't see anything in the forum so I thought I'd ask: if you have your save from the original Bioshock, does it have any impact on the sequel (as with Mass Effect, for example) or is it standalone, like with Assassin's Creed?

Standalone. You don't even play the same character like you do in Mass Effect 2.

I assumed the game is a stand alone from the first, kinda like Fallout 3...you dont need to play the first two in order to get whats going on. Then again, the only thing that you might be able to carry over is whether or not you were a good character or an evil prick from the first game...which again might not have say towards gameplay whatsoever like it did in ME2.

I believe your thinking of ME2. The old game save has no impact whatsoever.
