I've just started bioshock 2 and am stuck on the first part when you need to distantly hack the door.

It says: press e to stop the needle, but when I press it nothing happens and I invaryably get shocked because I run out of time.

Am I doing somthing wrong?

EDIT: I also havn't ajusted the controlls exept for turning down the mouse sensitiviity

The control scheme for BioShock 2 (at least when I played it at release) was... sketchy, to say the least. Reset your controls to default, and then try changing it again. Despite the game telling you to hit E, it's probably actually expecting the default F. If you still can't get it, try getting used to the default controls (I think that's what I did), or go into the BS2 forums, I'm sure they have a bazillion threads for this.

I tryed F and it just makes me use a first aid kit.

Hmn. That's interesting. And you say you haven't edited the controls other than mouse sensitivity? Doubly weird.

Unfortunately, I don't have it installed at the moment, or I'd fire the game up and poke around. All I can really offer is to try quick-saving before you attempt the hack, and then mess around with the control settings. Reset to default, play around with them, make sure two actions aren't set to the same key. Other than that... can't really offer much more help.
