I have the disc version of Bioshock 2 which is not a Steam one, it is GFWL though, so what would happen to my one? I only bought it a week ago for $5 at a local store since I hadn't had the chance to play it and it has no controller support etc, and I played the first one on Xbos and liked the controls. I just booted it up and no update, so yeah, that kinda sucks.
Just finished verifying that. The product code on the back of the manual does successfully activate the product on Steam. So good news for us! :D

Incidentally, it also looks like that makes the disc redundant. After activating the product on steam, I noticed that Steam didn't recognize my already installed copy and was asking me to install through them.
Sweet, thanks, worked for me too :D Got free dlc as well, so yay!

I have it on 360 so it means nothing to me but good for you guys! If you havn't played minerva's den do it now! Great little story, totally overshadows the main games (bioshock 2) plot :)
So it's a single player dlc, even better.

If Bethesda takes it out of Fallout 3 and adds steam achievements, that fucker will be 100%ed within the hour.
If they dont just get the Tale of Two Wastelands [http://www.taleoftwowastelands.com/content/faq] mod, it imports the entirety of Fallout 3 into the New Vegas engine. You get all the refinements in the gameplay New Vegas has, all the extra items and crafting etc yet you get to play Fallout 3 and all its DLC. You even get to travel between the Mojave and the Capitol Wasteland, if you dont want to use the train there is a cool mod that uses the Transportalponder from Old World Blues to teleport between the two.

Really, that's impressive. Thanks for this thread, it's been real informative.

Games for Windows Live and the whole GfW initiative and standard is nothing but a waste of time that adds nothing to PC gaming. It's pathetic that it is all that MS had to contribute to PC gaming in the last few years. The company behind Age of Empires, Dungeon Siege, Freelancer and others gave up on the platform almost entirely.

Hope you have fun if you try the mod, a bit of advice though. Its a complicated mod and the potential for problems is always there, get a save manager mod like CASM [http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/45652//?] or something to stop getting stuck in game breaking situations. Not had one myself yet but you know how it can be with mods sometimes.

I'll be sure to do research beforehand, I'm kinda new to mods in general, only been PC gaming the last year or so.
