I haven't played number one but from the screen shots it looked like the bastard child of system shock and fallout. Nothing i'm really excited for.
Ooh, im cool, i can quote yahtzee with no real thoughts/opinions of my own !!!
Whereas you quote elitists in a wanna-be fashion, I'm glad we had this talk.

No - I didn't like the original and this new game seems to be taking away everything that game did well.

Seemed like they finished the story in Biosock to me so Biosock 2 is screaming "cash cow" to me. I don't know if I'll buy it, but sure how they fix the damn mouse sensitivity bug for PC mice. Ok, for PC gaming mice.

Elitist? Far from it my friend and I wouldn't want to be... play the game before you quo-MAKE an opinion like that... Plus it can't exactly rip of Fallout when the game play that is used in fallout 3 that bioshock is 'similar' to wasn't used until the 3 game which was released AFTER Bioshock.

Fallout THREE there have been two before it, and I stated that I only gathered this from reviews and screen shots, I am not expert on the matter. And just because yahtzee said it, I don't think that it makes it false...

Every couple months I have to go back and play through Bioshock again.

It's one of the few games i'll never sell.

When he compares to fallout 3 he actually points out the the things he's talking about didn't apear in fallout 1 and 2

Not at all. Excuse my language, but I think will COMPLETELY fuck up the second. For some reason playing as a Big Daddy just seems cheap. It seems as if people liked the idea of a Big Daddy, so some idiot person at 2k decided, "WAIT! More people will buy it if you play as a Big Daddy because people like them." I know this probably won't make sense to most of you, as I find it hard to express my thoughts on this game, but I'll finish with this:

Whoever decided that the player character in Bioshock 2 will be a Big Daddy deserves to be shotgunned in the face.

Try that again kiddo, all he says is that thematically it rips off fallout. Also, take a good look at the date that review occured, september 5th 2007. That is almost a year before Fallout 3 was released. AKA he wouldn't have said shit about it because he wouldn't have known anything about it. Please don't spread false information.

So I have been told that some creatures can actually survive for more than 50 years! Crazy huh?

I am looking forward to this game and yet dreading it all at the same time. I look forward to it because I found bioshock fun. I dread it because the story of bioshock was pretty much wraped up, meaning this is going to be a completely different story and lose something that made many gamers love it. Who knows, maybe the writing will be great *unrealistic optimism*.

The game is placed 10 years after the visit of the outsider of the 1st one. I'm pretty sure I fought Big Daddys in 1st one. So how can I play as the 1st big Daddy...

I'm curious to why the big sister came back (a little sister that grew up). I just hope that it supplies better repeatability. NOT TO SAY THE FIRST WAS BAD AT ALL, just a second play through wasn't exciting, but very tedious and provided nothing new except people hitting harder.

I might be. Played the demo for the first one on PC and it was pretty good (though the graphics and quite shitty)

Not interested. Bioshock 1 did a good job of wrapping itself up, even though it left some ambiguities for interpretation (mostly in the backstory). Bioshock 2 will either be Bioshock: The Greatest Hits, or Bioshock: Milk from a Stone: There Was Another Rapture (or Rapture came back, whatever). Sequels are inevitable in this biz, but Bioshock seemed a self-contained experience that achieved its goal and then ended. Surely there'll be cries of "great game!" but that will be because at its core it's still Bioshock, which wasn't a bad shooter.

It's good that they're going in a new direction rather than trying to make a carbon copy of the first one. I for one am looking forward to this.
