[The Ultimate 2]

Ok this thing has been driving me crazy for a while now. I CAN'T WAIT FOR BIOSHOCK 2 ANYMORE. The wait is driving me up the wall. You get to play THE Big Daddy, You get new plasmids, online multiplayer, and of course, THE BIG SISTER! Can I get a hell yeah?

Hell meh, more like. I'm very worried that Bioshock 2 is going to pale significantly to the original since it seems to be missing the point about what made the original so good. Playing as a Big Daddy seems like a bit of a gimmick to me and the Big Sister seems thoroughly uninspired.

Very concerned.

I must admit I have the lingering doubt it won't live up to the hype, as I have with anything new.

But soon my friends, soon. Patience is a virtue. And isn't there going to be a BioShock movie soon too? Or has that been scrapped already?

I'm almost afraid to be excited about Bioshock 2. It would be fun to let loose and squeal all the way to release day, but the last time I did that, I was sorely disappointed and wasted 45 bucks (SSBB?for some reason, I did not like it at all after the first week of play).

Nope the movie is still going on and they put a restraining order on Uwe Boul so there's almost no chance of screwing this up. Unless of course they use different actors for the radio sequences.

this will be an awsome game plus look at the gameplay it seem the same as the first one but with new weapons abilities plasmids and the big sister

Since Bioshock didn't live up to the hype (was good, but very overhyped), I'm definately in the "meh" camp for this one.

Nothing I've seen so far has seemed very inspired, will have to wait and see when more info is released.

I expect it to be quite good, but am worried it might lack something when compared to the first one. Namely, I already see some signs of thematic difference (e.g. no evil voices from above looping you through scenarios, more "EPIC BRAWLZ LOL"), so I'm not letting myself get overhyped for it.

Mass Effect 2, on the other hand...

HELL YEAH!!! But while I'm on the subject, I do beleive that maybe we're jumping the gun a bit by getting so worked up, I say this because I care, and I expect more from this one than from Bioshock 1, wich is a hard act to follow, some may say that's a lot to ask, but why else would you make a sequal other than to surpass the first? This will either be "Yes, this is awesome, I think I'll buy two more copies for no reason, just to support the awesome guys who made this, because I am so in their gratitude!!!" or "...WHY DIDN'T I JUST PLAY THE FIRST?!?!?!?!... and leave my moms place and get a real job?" ... o.k., maybe that last part is just me, but you get my drift...

ehh. We'll see. The issue in any game with making the character a big unstoppable beast, is the gameplay suffers. Either you throw even bigger things at them that fuck the canon (a la The Force Unleashed), increase the hell out of the stats of the little dipshits so they are unexpectedly painful, send unrelenting hoards at them (Left 4 Dead style, but without the explainable endless supply of zombies), or the gameplay is too easy and boring. So yeah, there are a lot of ways they could fuck up the gameplay by doing this.

That said, here's hope that the game is good.
