I got Bioshock 2 the day it came out and the story like was good and so was the gameplay. So I thought well maybe multiplayer would be just as good... Well my first complaint is the fact that it tries to copy Modern Warfare 2 A LOT! You start at level 1 and in order to unlock new weapons and powers you have to rank up. You also get to create your own classes. The actual gameplay is definitely not the greatest. Killing someone is really a craps shoot. You can fire 2 clips from your Thompson into a guy and he will not die but shoot at a completely different person and kill him in 3 shots, and if the other team picks up the Bid Daddy power up then kiss your chances of winning goodbye, because unless you have like 5 guys shooting at him at once (which you won't) he is just going to pick off everyone with 3 shots. I'm done ranting. What are your opinions?

It is diffcult to play at the lower levels, but I like it so far. They are playing off of a popular system that works well and in my opinon it allows people to use diffrent Plasmids and Tonics for diffrent gametypes and I enjoy it quite a bit.

Contrary to popular belief, Call of Duty did not invent leveling up and weapon selection in an online game.

I heard that it was pretty mediocre as well (the main arguement being that Rapture's weapons [ie: hand-built shotguns and pistols with slow reload times] don't really lend themselves to multiplayer combat), but I honestly can't say anything more.

Personally, I'm still a bit shocked that Bioshock 2 even HAS multiplayer to begin with. The first game provided us with an extraordinary singleplayer experience; I was more or less hoping that Bioshock 2 would follow in it's footsteps. Lately, it seems as if the addition of multiplayer gameplay in game sequels has become mandatory (ex: Uncharted 2).

From what I've been hearing it's a lot more fun than people want to give credit.

Seems like people just want it to fail.

i enjoy it and its nothing at all like call of duty. just because a game has a level up system that earns you better equipment doesnt mean its just like cod, alot of online shooter do that, and personally i think its a great idea that keeps you interested in playing

and to solve your problems....

1. the reason you can kill one person easily and another one it takes forever could be because of 2 things, either their current level of health or the tonics they have equipped.

2. you can charge your plasmids by holding down the button and hitting a big daddy with a charged plasmid attack drains a considerable amount of its health.

hope this helps. you should give it another shot, at least get to lvl 8 or so before you decide to quit. also capture the sister mode is very addicting

Still working through the single player, which I'm absolutely enjoying. I'm cautiously optimistic about the multiplayer experience; there's always going to be negative hype with this sort of thing, but let your own experience guide your opinion.
