hahahahahaha! mac's don't have a right-click. The only other big name game I can think of for mac is WoW, any others that I missed?

MAC/PC PICTURE WAR!
Actually it's just called secondary click...teutonicman said:hahahahahaha! mac's don't have a right-click. The only other big name game I can think of for mac is WoW, any others that I missed?
That depends on what vintage, so to speak ;-) The latest normal macbooks certainly can. I think they are actually a tad bit faster than my first-gen MacBook Pro, even. Technical evolution is a wonderful thing, even if it does leave me feeling a bit silly for spending twice the amount for just a little less speed ;-)Erana said:Do you think normal macbooks could handle it?
I killed both PCs in a weekend; I'm a little desperate.
Oh, you mean poor, as in being able to run every PC game ever made, in addition to exclusive mac titles? (Yes, those do exist, and in a far larger number than most would think...)scotth266 said:(As a note people: me and Khell are not actually attempting to argue/start flamewars. We're just commenting at the poor situation Mac owners are stuck in, games-wise.)
Well, I just got this rig last month...Ayjona said:That depends on what vintage, so to speak ;-) The latest normal macbooks certainly can. I can only vouch for how the macbooks can run BioShock in windows, though. There have been quite a number of sloppy ports lately, in particular cider-ported games. Expect a, at least, small drop in framerates if you run most ported games under OS X.
(There have been a few very well-coded ports, though. In those cases, the OS X port runs faster than its windows counterpart. Yay for OpenGL, the few times it is actually used correctly ;-) )
When one of your selling points is "Oh, and we can run the other guy's OS as well." I can't help but wonder if that shows a more glaring flaw with your initial operating system to have to jump onto Windows just to play games.Ayjona said:Oh, you mean poor, as in being able to run every PC game ever made, in addition to exclusive mac titles? Yes, being cursed with the ability to run both operating systems is certainly a hassle.
