Oh it's on...
MAC/PC PICTURE WAR!

(As a note people: me and Khell are not actually attempting to argue/start flamewars. We're just commenting at the poor situation Mac owners are stuck in, games-wise.)

Actually it's just called secondary click...

Do you think normal macbooks could handle it?
I killed both PCs in a weekend; I'm a little desperate.
That depends on what vintage, so to speak ;-) The latest normal macbooks certainly can. I think they are actually a tad bit faster than my first-gen MacBook Pro, even. Technical evolution is a wonderful thing, even if it does leave me feeling a bit silly for spending twice the amount for just a little less speed ;-)

I can only vouch for how the macbooks can run BioShock in windows, though. There have been quite a number of sloppy ports lately, in particular cider-ported games. Expect a, at least, small drop in framerates if you run most ported games under OS X.

(There have been a few very well-coded ports, though. In those cases, the OS X port runs faster than its windows counterpart. Yay for OpenGL, the few times it is actually used correctly ;-) )

Oh, you mean poor, as in being able to run every PC game ever made, in addition to exclusive mac titles? (Yes, those do exist, and in a far larger number than most would think...)

Yes, being cursed with the ability to run both operating systems is certainly a hassle.

Well, I just got this rig last month...
Lord knows, though, that they're going to charge us some obscene amount for this two-year-old game, though. I mean, they're selling Fable for $40 or $50, if I recall correctly...
Yeah, the first game. The one that came out five years ago.

When one of your selling points is "Oh, and we can run the other guy's OS as well." I can't help but wonder if that shows a more glaring flaw with your initial operating system to have to jump onto Windows just to play games.

And a list of these oh-so-many exclusive Mac titles would be nice. Closest I could get find on short notice was this [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Macintosh_games] but anyone can see that most of those games are on the PC as well.

Seriously, I have never heard of any real exclusive A quality Mac titles.

Well, I suppose I could do the ultimate cop-out in the Mac v PC war here and simply say:

Vista.

-----------------

Anyway, I'll probably just bootcamp Windows 7 onto my Macbook Pro when the time comes that I actually feel the need to. (Mmm... Fallout 3 with mods) Until then, my X360 does just fine.

I could also point out that Victor Lucas is a strong advocate of the Macbook Pro as a gaming laptop. (He uses one, anyway. Better than Alienware, certainly.)
