I picked BioShock up last Sunday for $40 and honestly the only reason I really did buy it was for trophies. I've started playing it on hard and now I've gone back and started on easy and it took me a while to really get into it. But I can say this for sure. This is one of the most boring games I have ever played. I've honestly had a funner time with Tony Hawk games. I've gotten to Neptune's Bounty on hard and barely got half way through the first on easy. But the backtracking is pissing me off. System Shock 2 was criticized for it's excessive backtracking and I heard BioShock had less but as far as I'm concerned it has way too much.
Other than that the story is original as far as I'm concerned, and even though I already know all the ending I'll still play it all the way through. The weapon selection reflects the time the game is set in which is a plus, though I'm pretty sure a multi-shot grenade launcher didn't exist back in 1960. Like I said I played it on Hard first so when I go back and play it through on easy I'll come back with a I know this sounded a little like a rant but I just hate backtracking. I'll make a full review in a while but don't count on it coming soon.
