I'm talking about a game i found too easy that didn't have any need for a change in the save system that would make it even easier. I brought up the past because that is where i came from. I had to be perfect at games to finish them when i started...nowadays i barely even have to try. You see a change to the save system as something to make your life easier, i see it as a way to make an easy game easier.Lyri said:How does anybody take you seriously if you're this narrow minded?CannibalCorpses said:...and if that pisses them off they can either get good enough to compete or fuck off trying to talk to me about something they have cheated to get past rather than beat.
What on earth are you competing against in single player?
Not everyone wants to compete, people just want to play the game and enjoy the experience at their own leisure. Your standards do not apply to anyone but yourself.
Ok good for you?CannibalCorpses said:.It's all about difficulty and i see the differing save systems as adding or removing difficulty. As i've said before, checkpoints are generally harder to complete than free saves and i find almost every modern game a cakewalk, of course i'm going to back the system i think is the hardest.
One other thing, old style games had lives and that system forces perfection...not just good or acceptable.
What does this have to do with the OP really?
We're talking about saves, not about people being forced to be "perfect" at video games.
Fair enough, we'll agree to disagree. You aren't hardcore enough to relate to me and i'm not casual enough to relate to you so i guess this ends it.
