Anyway, good luck making that part (assuming it's in the book) not sound hopelessly contrived and implausible. Like I've said before, it squeaked by in the game because it brilliantly deconstructed a common trope of first-person video games made after Half-Life, and also because people tend not to question things in a video game, but it would never fly in another medium.

If it does work, then hey, maybe we've got a good new source to draw from for the movie, if they ever get around to making it.

I think Bioshock's a pretty cool guy. Eh runs a city underwater and doesn't afraid of anything.

I'm definitely buying this. As much as I loved wandering through a ruined Rapture, I really want to 'see' what the city was really like when it was still functioning.
If the book ends up being terrible, oh well, at least I'll have a book with a pretty cover sitting on my shelf. :)

Seeing as the literary medium is unable to utilize the worst part of Bioshock, but can use the good parts, if not to their full potential, this could be a very good read.
