Yes ..a good old style cross over like marvel vs capcom! Illusive Man is actually a far descendant of the Darkspawn legacy, Miranda is genetically enhanced broodmother and Duncans beard was component of one of the Reapers....!

Coincidentally, this announcement will take place RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF PAX EAST! I hope they make a surprise appearance, because I freaking love BioWare, and it would be awesome to see them =)

Is it not obvious? All you people saying its a Mass Effect 3 announcement?

I'm just going to come out and say it, it is the day Mass Effect 3 is released. I'm so happy.

My bet is on newly unveiled Dragon Age and Mass Effect DLC. Or the TOR beta going live. Though, if it is the DLC--Where the hell is PS3 support for Return to Ostagar??
Return to ostagar is out for the PS3, at least it is in Europe
Oh, don't tease me so, friend. Are you sure? So it's only here that gets that horrible "coming soon", as seen on the page below, right above the logo that says "PS3"?

Considering i have it and have gotten the trophy for it, yeah im pretty sure :p

I am hoping... hoping it's some kind of announcement for Mass Effect 3, though that is almost definetly jumping the gun a little.
So odds are it's for DLC or something.

Planescape 2: Redemption

What can change the nature of a cosmos? Join Morte, Annah, Dak'kon, and Fall-From-Grace in their epic quest to save the Nameless One from his indentured service in the armies of the Abyss. To accomplish this, your party will need to join forces with descendants of Bane from Baldur's Gate and adventurers from the Spine of the World to settle once and for all the Blood War.
- Import characters from BGI, BGII, Planescape, and the Icewind Dale series.
- Visit Sigil, Baldur's Gate, Amn, and the Ten Towns as well as several planes of existence
- Discover the terrible secret of Boo, former Knight of the Old Republic, and his Padawan Minsc.
- Remember that weird sphere in BGII with all the Knights of Solamnia in it and the implicit promise that there would be a Dragonlance game using the Infinity Engine? Well, get ready to mix it up with some Kender and Draconians.

^^ At the link he posted, under the BioWare games tab a non clickable option shows up as "New Next Gen Game"

http://www.bioware.com/games/

^^Again "New Next Gen Game" is posted as "under development". The countdown is likely the announcement of what that game is.

Don't we have enough countdowns nowadays? It's not special if everyone's doing it...
Everything made by Bioware is special.

Yes, even the first Neverwinter Nights single-player campaign.

Also, I secretly hope for:

Neverwinter Nights 3: This Time We Kicked Obsidian OUT!

Planescape 2 would be "jizz in my pants" territory, except that Planescape was actually made by Black Isle. Given BioWare's recent track record, if they're going to take on old Infinity Engine games made by other studios I think I'd rather see do a new Icewind Dale. It was basically a tactical combat sim wrapped around a lame story, which is pretty much all Dragon Age is, so it shouldn't be too much of a stretch.

I'm surprised how many people are saying it'll be a new DLC. BioWare announces DLC all the time; they know it's not big news. And they treat their fanbase well. In this case, I think whatever they're planning really WILL be big news.

My money's on KOTOR3, personally, though I'd certainly settle for JE2 any day. In fact, any announcement for a new single-player BioWare game will make my day. TRO looks awesome, but I don't play MMOs.

Fair enough, apparently my PSN had not updated over spring break, and the game had not been available. I checked last night, and, lo and behold, there it was. Damn cyberspace was trying to conceal things from me! Or, alternatively, my connection was down.

The Old Republic beta is coming, young Padawans.

For some reasone, this caused me to start humming the Terminator theme.

Anyway, considering it has Mass Effect in the backround, it's probably some sort of DLC.
The reason it has the Mass Effect 2 background is because it's their newest game. It's on DA:O's website too. I don't see how a countdown on the DA:O can mean new Mass Effect 2 DLC.
It might be that they are releasing another cross game DLC. Kinda like how the Dragon armor was in both Dragon Age: Origins and Mass Effect 2.

On Topic: I hope it has something to do with Star Wars: The Old Republic beta, that would be quite awesome.
Maybe, but would Bioware really start a huge countdown on their website with no news whatsoever of what it is for a simple DLC? I don't think so. It has to be one of their new games (coughcough Old Republic coughcough).

Really? I didn't know that.
Do you need Shales approval quite high to find that out or is it soemthing I missed? I remember a point where you find the list of Golems created but never found out more about it
