Counsellor CyberGuild: Your opinion?
We need more lying down and stroking emotes.
Counsellor PonyGuild: Your opinion?
We want Force Sensitive Ponies.
Counsellor RainbowGuild: Your opinion?
We want rainbow coloured tunics that flutter in the wind.
Counsellor PVPGuild: Your opinion?
KILL, GANK, LOOT!
Counsellor RoleplayGuild: Your opinion?
The Counsellor was called. Slowly, he raised his visage from the scowl he was engaged in to address the masses. "I have opinions!", he said "Opinions the like of which you have never heard!"
Counsellor GRRRLGuild: Your opinion?
We'd like...
Counsellor NoPrequelsGuild: Your opinion?
Kill Jar-Jar.
Counsellor RoleplayGuild: Finished yet?
"Opinions that span the entire cosmos. We will see the Empire struck down with the force of our Opinions."...
Counsellor TheTrueGuild: Your opinion?
Why is it that on mission "Bacta the Future", my character states that he is "heavy" when his movement allowance hasn't changed in any way?
Counsellor EuropeanGuild: Your opinion?
They've emailed us to ask if we can add a u to certain words

Now I know why Vader learnt Force Choke first.
Really got a good laugh from that post, thank you!

On Topic:
This sounds like a cool idea.
I won't be participating (don't play the game) but if this works out it might be a good way for several other games to get feedback right from the source (their most devoted fans).

Eh... publicity stunt. "See? It's 'for serious,' like EVE."

The "prominent" guild leaders represent a particularly vocal minority. And the ones that can afford the time and money to attend a summit like this? Even smaller. That leaves us two possibilities:

1. If changes are made to the game as a result of this summit, they are going to reflect the interests of the hyper-hardcore MMO player. That means a lot of the less-hardcore players risk being marginalized by these decisions.

2. No changes will be made, and this truly is just a publicity stunt to give the appearance of directly interfacing with fans. Basically, it's a Hail Mary for the subscription model.

Are you sure they actually mailed someone in EU realms? I mean ... They could have just read their opinion from their PCs using Origin like EULA access.

Emailing is so yesterday. :p

I wonder about the efficacy of this summit. perhaps I'm wrong, but there doesn't seem to be any other reason for the attendees to travel to Austin for this. (Other than the fact that is, in all probability, a very lovely city and well worth visiting.) So, it seems to me, that this will only be attended by the most dedicated players -- aka fanboys. I would think they'd get a larger, and more diverse, turnout if something like this were held in conjunction with an event like PAX for example. Then use the pre-registration and invitation-only aspects to keep out the anti-MMO and WoW for life trolls out so they could talk to, and address the concerns of, active SW:TOR players.

This feels like very publicly doing "something" which really amounts to nothing while avoiding uncomfortable interaction with less than satisfied customers.
