BioWare Unveils Exclusive, Expensive Mass Effect Lithos

Deep-pocketed Mass Effect [http://www.amazon.com/Mass-Effect-2-Xbox-360/dp/B001TORSII/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1288227197&sr=8-1] fans will want to check out these very pretty, very limited and very expensive lithographs of Tali, Thane and Grunt that begin pre-selling on Friday.

This is one of those times in life when we separate the men from the boys. Lots of you are Mass Effect fans - so am I - but how many of you are willing to blow more than 100 bucks on some fancy-shmancy pictures of the crew?

Make no mistake, these pictures are fancy-shmancy. Each lithograph of Tali'Zorah vas Normandy, Thane Krios and Grunt will be signed and numbered by the artist who created it, and only 500 of each will be printed. Because of complaints that previous lithograph offers sold out before some fans were even aware of them, BioWare [http://www.bioware.com] is giving everyone a heads-up now so they can be ready for it.

Two "pre-sales" of 100 packs of all three lithographs will be offered this Friday, October 29, the first between 10 am and 11 am Mountain Daylight Time, and the second between 5 pm and 6 pm MDT. Each pack will sell for $120 and whatever's left over after the pre-sale will be available for purchase individually through the BioWare store later in November.

120 bucks is a lot of coin, but these lithographs are a lot of awesome. The Tali image is particularly striking, although as a character the only one of this lot that I found particularly interesting was Grunt. If this was a Garrus/Zaeed/Legion collection I'd be on it like a leather jumpsuit on Miranda, but as it is... well, maybe.

hurmmm... I ran out of wall when I started putting up ME2 posters of the concept art. And $120 is a bunch, considering I'm already overbudget for this year... The pictures are the definition of badass though.

FYI, they're 18x24" on 100lb paper. They also look pretty fantastic.

They are cool and all but I don't have 100 bucks burning a hole in my pocket, and even if I did I'd buy a new game.

Do want, very badly, but I just don't have that kind of cash to throw around. I'll just get a friend of mine to scan them for me so I can at least have a desktop wallpaper :p

Even if I had that kind of money to blow right now, I'm not sure I like the games enough to spend that much on really fancy posters. Nice art, though.

It makes me sad that I can't afford these. Oh well. Spending roughly the same amount of money on posters as I did on the series the posters came from isn't really my style anyways.

Do... Want... So... Badly.

But, I don't think I have the money to waste on a Litho, even if it were of sweet, sweet Tali... And it's 45 godamn Kilos! How that's gonna get shipped internationally, I have no idea. And it would be awkward to collect it at the door, and it would be imposable to carry upstairs, and it would be hard to find a wall to put it on.

I hate my life. I WANT THAT GODAMN TALI LITHO.

I'd buy one the one with Tali.

For decorative purposes of course.
You mean like decorating the walls with spunk?

*high fives some one*

OT: It's just 3 drawings/photographs of drawings.

I could just wait 'till someone puts them on the internet and I'll Save Image As them.

Yeah, but with scans you just don't get the detail and feel of that a real one provides. You need to have a genuine one to get the legitimate litho experience.

No. I will not pay 100 dollars for video game posters. I have standards. I have not sold that part of my soul to Bioware...atleast not yet.

Hey... they're 40 bones a pop on the website itself. That's actually pretty standard fare for a litho (and simple arithmetic denotes that all 3 at once would cost an upwards of a buck 20 [$120]).

I'd much rather it be something like Thane, Garrus and Miranda. Pass.

... Want... want... so much...

Best set of 3, though, would be Garrus, Mordin, and ... Grunt, probably. That Grunt one looks pretty cool. If they have one of those left over...

But seriously, this would be the best Christmas present EVER. Not even joking.
