Bioware you give me a pack of Miranda, Garrus and Legion and I will buy it, for now, the only one I'm truly interested in is Tali and only because I used her in my party with Garrus for most of Mass Effect
120 bucks for a series limited to 500 and that size and quality of paper really is a pretty good deal in the scheme of things. does not matter if you like or dislike the characters, assuming mass effect continues to enjoy some popularity over the next 10 20 years or more, a limited series like this could be worth some bucks in the future. and hell if you hate the character your are more likely to part with it for a profit down the line.Starnerf said:

The Tali one is going to be instantly popular due to her being a fan favourite and because it's a great picture. I'm sure the guys at Bioware and EA would make a mint out of making this into a poster instead.

Okay, okay I shouldn't be a smartass. It kind of goes without saying that she would be as the series's consistently popular female, I admit I even like her a bit. Still, of those three the only one who would really take my fancy would be Grunt, as out of all three he was my favorite.
That said, I'd still prefer Wrex over Grunt. And Ashley over Tali, and Garrus over Thane. But still, what's there is good stuff so I'll be nice and applaud some very well done artwork.
Still, has anyone else noticed that there have been a lot of announcements for Mass Effect Merchandise that haven't appeared in stores? Seriously, I have been planning to buy one of the Grunt figures from that promised collection of Mass Effect figurines and I haven't seen one anywhere in stores and it's been months.
If I can't find or access something that's supposedly mass produced then I kind of have to give up even the very thought that I'll ever even glimpse one of those lithos.
And when it comes to that, where's the next DLC? Or at least a confirmation that they are making one? Not to sound like I'm complaining here but Liara fans got a massive and hugely detailed piece of DLC coming their way, as for me who picked Ashley and chose to stick with her, nothing.
Same for the people who picked Kaiden.
No DLC, no announcement, barely any recognition whatsoever. It's really starting to get rather depressing really, I made my pick, was encouraged to stick with my pick and now watch everyone else who made a different pick get the better deal.
Guess what Bioware, shocking as it may be to accept I don't swoon at the very mention of Tali, nor do I drool for Miranda's ass and Liara did not appeal to me in Mass Effect 1. I shouldn't be treated like a second class citizen just because I didn't go for the most popular characters.
Some might say that any Ashley/Kaiden DLC would only serve as blatant fan service to ring money out of the customers into a huge messy pile in a shameless act of exploitation.... but frankly I kind of want to be exploited.

To wrap up, they look nice, though they aren't the characters I'd want to see in lithos and odds are I won't be able to have them, even if I really desperately wanted them.

Mm, I'd seriously consider getting them, except for a stroke of good fortune I've already had. A few weeks ago I went into my local comic book store to pick up my weekly order, and what do I see behind the counter but a signed poster of cover art from the Mass Effect Redemption comic series. This piece, to be exact
After some wheedling, since they got it as a bonus for ordering a certain number of the collected trade of the series, they let me buy it for $20 on top of my weekly order. I got it framed and it's now hanging to the left of my monitor looking totally awesome.

You can tell this thread is filled with mostly either kids or people who have never lived with a woman. If you think 100 bucks is too much to pay for three gallery quality prints, then lets hope you guys never have a wife or girlfriend that wants to redecorate your house. And lets face it, I'd rather have one of these on my wall than the "farmers market special" that looks like jackson pollack shit paint all over a canvas. Don't ask me how much my wife spent on that one, it's still a sore point.
