So, I bought two kinds from the store, Rich tea and Digestives.

Both are rather well known in the uk. Both come in chocolate covered (on one side, I saw cadbury have their own brand but I just took the Bolands brands. I tried both of them plain and a chocolate digestive (they did not have any rich tea that have chocolate on it). As an American who never had any I found the digestive just taste better, I think it's the grainy mealy feel of in the mouth that's more pleasing plus it have more of a rustic feeling when i eat one. From what i hear when you dunk them in a mug of hot tea or coffee they break up easily. But i never tried that yet. But my question is..

Whitch you prefer? Both are popular and taste good.

Also anyone from another country can tell me what they prefer to eat with a mug of hot coffee, tea or hot chocolate? Or recommend something biscuit-like people eat in their own country? Mostly so i can find it and try it out.

Also on the chocolate version of digestives, they are good but the chocolate itself melts easily. Also hard to put down when you eat one.

Digestives taste great dipped in tea, but their structual integrity is very poor. McVities do the best biscuits in my opinion.

Hobnobs on the other hand, they're like the fucking SAS of bisuits.

"Dunk me again! I can take it!"

Cookie Biscuit for the reference.

Chocolate Rich Tea?? That's a bloody outrage.

Try Mcvite's Plain Rich Tea, and the Hobnob, which is a better version of the Digestive.

You'll also want to try some of Foxes Posh biscuits - The Ginger ones are superb -, Jammy Dodgers (+1 Bluff against Daleks), the strangely good Pink Wafers, The Bourbon (and its albino brother, the Custard Cream) and the exceedingly good Malted Milk.

Or, for a taste just short of diabetes, Party Rings.

Hobnobs are my favourite for dunking in a warm beverage. As for chocolate biscuits just eat them whole, then you don't have to worry about putting them down or them melting on you, its what I do.

I don't know if you'd call them biscuits, but Fox chocolate rings (can't remember the name) are sex in a packet.

This. Hobnobs are the fucking sex.

If hobnobs were a person, I'd mate with them. Then eat them.

Digestive biscuits taste awesome dunked in tea. You just have to be quick. Maryland Chocolate Chip Cookies are also amazing when dunked in tea. They don't break apart as quickly.

Well plain chocolate digestives are amazing (love dunking them in tea and the chocolate melting!), rich tea are good for a change (also amazing with tea), bourbons have to be my favourite though eat those bad boys all day.

Rich Tea is better in my opinion, and at the expense of sounding very stereotypical, it's the best of the 2 that goes great with a cuppa. Digestives can get sickly after a while, while rich tea is a good all rounder.

I will not tolerate the use of any word other than cookies in my presence. But you are not in my presence so call them what you wish.
