I have just been rejected. I won't bore you with the details, but suffice to say, it felt as though all the blood in my body had been frozen into tiny icicles and hammered into my abdomen ( if anyone ever tells you that you feel anything love-related with your heart, slap them, for they are a filthy liar. It's the stomach, or maybe the diaphragm.) So looking at it, they're are two ways this thread could go. I could ask you people to drive the already depressing mood of this thread right into the fucking ground, or I could ask you to cheer me up with happy things and kittens and what-not.
However, I'm going to take a third option. [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TakeAThirdOption] If you want to post some depressing rejection stories in this thread, feel free. However, you must post something that increases the mood by an equal or greater amount than the first part reduces it, either through awesomeness, cuteness, or just being funny as fuck. I'll start us off with a link to a Cracked article which I believe is one of the greatest and most terrifying things ever written. [http://www.cracked.com/blog/extra-mario-lopez-has-no-soul/]
That's right bitches [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ptitlel9hiod7i]. It's Robert Brockway. Word Puncher.
That sucks, but it happens to everyone so don't let it get you too down.

I don't want to hurt her back! She's a friend!
Oh believe me, after time you will. God I wish I'd never met that girl, then formed a weird obsession that consumed my life and soul. That left me emotionally distant and a loser, unable to see anybody filling her place in my life.

Anyway, that's basically why I have so much self-loathing.

Nah, but seriously, don't date friends. If it's messy you have to bear them FOREVER. Also it gets really awkward after you take advantage of them when they're drunk and vulnerable. I should know, I was very drunk and vulnerable.

Well I personally can't give relationship advice seeing as how I'm too chicken to pursue a relationship, but let's see if I can't find anything that'll cheer you up...

This isn't cute, but it never fails the cheer me up...

If you really want cute, go read Yotsuba&. It gave me cavities.

Rejection isn't that big a deal and learning to deal with it soundly is a hallmark of maturity.

In essence, man up and stop being so emo. It isn't the end of the world.

Hope that helps!
