It's pretty good, but it does seem to try too hard sometimes.
I don't know if you're watching it subbed or dubbed, but with the former it's kind odd to hear Japanese people try and sound western by referencing our culture. Saying stuff like "even Jesus would get pissed". Just very weird phrases that are meant to make the characters sound western, but with their Japanese voices end up making them sound like reverse weeaboos (if that even exists). Maybe I'm the only one botherd by this, but I couldn't help but laugh at it.
I will say that it's great mix of harsh reality and awesome action. Kind of like The Last Boyscout. And Balalaika is the most badass female anime character I've ever seen. She's the quintessential iron lady.
