Black Mesa for consoles

This is pretty much a call for support, to persuade the team behind Black Mesa Source to seriously consider releasing it on the PlayStation Network and/or X-Box Live Arcade in addition to releasing on Steam.

So if anyone out there feels the same way please message on their forums, on twitter, facebook, whatever.

I don't think that it would be legal for them to do that, being as valve owns half life AND the source engine.

Well, if it DID get on the consoles, Valve would have legally acquire it first. Overall though, I wouldn't mind to see it on consoles; it looks great.

No, because it is a mod, and VALVe would have to acquire the rights to it first. Plus it would be a huge project to port it to PSN and XBL (The latter not quite as difficult). I wouldn't want to play it on my PS3 anyway, just not the same as playing on the PC.

They wouldn't be able to do that. There's no way they'd be able to get it on the XBLA without Valve's permission, and Valve already basically stated that they wouldn't be involved with it when they told them to change the name from "Black Mesa Source" to just "Black Mesa".

I mean, things may change, but that's very unlikely.

It's a mod of Half Life 2 and the Source engine. Valve would have to legalize it, and the company already said they won't have anything to do with the mod.

So no, you console peasants won't get zee mod.

P.S:Also it would mean I had to pay for it. After playing countless Total War mods and Natural Selection, me paying for a remake no matter how good it is, it's not going to happen.

First of all, they can't do this because Black Mesa Source is a mod. They would only be able to put it on XBLA with Valve's permission, which is unlikely.

Secondly, it's already taking them forever to make it for the PC. Having them produce it for consoles as well would just waist more time.
