Also Black Mesa Source is releasing WITHOUT Xen.

Xen comes in a later patch or download.

The original Half-Life is one of my favourite FPS games (I'm one of those rare mutant freaks who prefers it to Half-Life 2), so this...this is perfect.

Oh that's fine then, I think I remember reading somewhere that it's optimized for the Half-Life 2 build of the engine but that could be me misinterpreting things.
