to be honest i do use the mini map a bit, but mostly so get an idea of where people are on the make so i can flank, i notice with ghost that any attempt to flank gets me kills by a random ghost kid in a corner off separate from there team yeah thats annoying. really my only problem with ghost is that it's used way more than cold blooded, and UAV jammer were because of it's new perk spot and the lack of stopping power. with SP you had to make a choice, "stay hidden and not kill the guy with a weaker gun" or "be found easily but dish out more damage" on BO, the new set up really only sacrifices flak jacket or scavenger which are useful (however i hate flak jacket with a passion, ever try setting a claymore to cover your back while sniping an have it get wasted by a flak jacket kid?)so yeah for me in the the weeks or so i've seen teams in MTDM were 3-4 out of 6 kids are ghosting. it almost feels like a waste of a kill streak when most of the team is immune to it.

for the record my fav classes are usually any assault rifle, m1991,scavenger, slight of hand, ninja.
i don't camp for KS's is like assault the other team in with flanks or running in, i rarely just charge in head first with out thinking i'm usually taking my time and being smart about it, but the only kids that ever kill me are the campers in corners with ghost. or getting hit in the back by said ghost kids.

while I have no love for ghost, I rarely hate on those that do. I`m gonna be honest here, we hate a on anyone who kills us, not just the ghosties. I hate that dick with second chance, I hate that dick who steals my kill(not just enemy players we hate on) and I especially hate that one dick in every game who always seems to get the upper hand because he`s so obviously cheating(he couldn`t possibly be better than me right?) Competition drives this game, if you don't have any competitive spirit, why are you playing?

I've always felt UAV Jammer and it's ilk were cowardly and cheap. The only reason to use them is to avoid direct confrontation, which is pretty cowardly in my opinion.

I always run with Ghost, as I find it the most superior perk of tier 1 at least for SMG and AR and Sniper Rifle users. Really gives you an advantage, as I am one of those "bitches who camps".

I play mostly HC Demolition, and I camp 75% of the time, either to defend a bomb site or to prevent enemy from getting to a bombsite we are bombing. Honestly, I have no idea what is bad about "camping". If you die to a camper on a single route, why can't you choose another? As I have said before, camping is a valid strategy, and no matter where you camp there is always at least one spot where you can be surprised and shot. And there are grenades, too.

Only thing I dislike is when people jump and shoot. They don't dive to prone, which I think is fine, but they jump and shoot in the air with those SMG's.

As a sniping camper myself... where would I be without such things? Yeah, I can drop people who are dumb enough to come in my exact path but... Hello... Go around? Try to get ME in the back or along that line? I don't care if I kept the base weapons, no perks and just run and gunned, people would still find some way to call me cheap or a fag or w/e.
Absolutely no problems with ghost, and anyone who believe it is too op will be shot... in game of course.

Ah well, either way it's still piss hard to get for inexperienced players.

I feel alone in the crowd here. Everyone else is saying how much second chance can go die in a well, but it's a part of my favorite class setup (Famas or AUG w/grenade launcher, Python speed reloader, ghost pro, sleight of hand pro, second chance pro). I'm sorry, but it works. I usually get over 50 kills in a game of HC HQ (the only game mode I play) and only like 10-20 deaths.


Edit: just thought of this: hardly anyone uses ghost in HC HQ, which is why I can still use the Spy plane effectively

It's not that it doesn't work, it's that it's unfair. The game steals a kill from you. I should get a kill when I shoot someone down, but the person being shot down can kill you fairly easily if you're close enough. If they happen to be hiding behind barriers when being shot down they can survive.

Shoot him again, his invulnerability no longer lasts long enough for him to unload his pistol at you without consequence. If you're quick he can't even pull out his pistol before death, kind of ironic given the description. Behind barricades, toss a flash bang. Yes those do about one damage, just enough to kill. I don't why everyone complains about second chance, though I do agree that if someone else finishes him off they should get the assist while you should get the kill.

Ghost is just too good compared to the other Tier 1 perks. Simple really, there's no trade-off by not having Stopping Power if you equip it.

I love how people claim Blackbird is a counter; something that takes 7 or 8 kills in a row to get is not an effective counter to something everyone can get for free.

There are strategies for dealing with people using this perk. For future reference, if you do find yourself out of ammo as they go down, I suggest tossing your tactical grenade their way. Not only will it kill quickly with little risk to you, but it's also rather insulting to the victim. I hope you're right about that patch thing too.

Well in most situations, even if they take you down you will still get the kill. Unless an ally just happens to pass by, they will rarely go out of their way to save them (and if they don't have the pro version they can't be saved anyway). The biggest risk is that a teamate will find him before he bleeds out and steal the kill, and if this patch you mentioned is real and goes through you won't even have to worry about that.

The UAV every 5 seconds is just annoying. its like playing a game full of cheaters.
I use the ghost perk simply so people dont know when im within 50m of them.

You should try Rapid Fire with the Spectre. As long as you aren't shot first(the flinch is horrible) you should be able to kill them really fast. Scavenger Pro basically ensures that you're good on bullets, so you won't need to worry about wasting.

I find it better than the grip, because I'll likely get killed regardless of whether I flinch a lot or not if I'm shot at first.

mmm . . . can't agree. They serve their purposes. UAV Jammer combined with Dead Silent can lead to some surprise attacks. In MW, if you played on some of the much larger PC servers (i.e. 16v16+), and your team got pinned down and were getting raped, sometimes the only way to break the opposing team's iron curtain was to think outside the box. Going silent and slowly making your way behind enemy lines, then unleashing hell from their rear would usually result in a nice kill streak . . . and having caused enough chaos, confusion and panic with the opposing team that your team can start pushing back.

The way I see it - you gain some abilities that some view as "cheating," but you also give up some of those other perks everyone else is running around with that gives them more health, faster weapons/reloads, higher shot damage, etc. At the same time, those perks can be viewed by some as "cheating," too.

I always use the dual mag for the AK74u, ives me more ammo, thus I dont need Scavanger.

I call it my "Leg It" class, Lightwieght, steady aim, hacker (so I dont hit claymores). and with that dual mag AK74u and Ballistic knife, with Semtex, flashbang, and claymore (I said I hate hitting them, not using them). Does me pretty well.

I haven't been insulted on it, but I use Hardline/Sleight of Hand Pro/Second Chance Pro, and those three come in handy together.
Hardline so I can get the killstreaks a bit faster (Spy Plane, Care Package and Attack Chopper), SoHP for super quick reload+aim, and SCP so my ass is safe for a bit longer.
I played a match about 2 hours ago (6v6) and 3 people on my team, me included, used SCP, and we just kept each other alive for as long as possible, and we won the match because of that (I have a habit of spraying burst fire around a bit, so I miss a lot)

I have two Ghost perk classes. One is my sniper class, which for the obvious reason has Ghost. The other I call my "Anti-Air" class, and it currently uses the Galil with Reflex site (with a teal heart as the reticle) and the Strela-3. I use that when someone gets the hind, attack chopper, or copper gunner killstreaks. The Ghost helps somewhat with those, but not always.

Also, seeing ppl talking about Second Chance, I have Second Chance Pro, and it still rarely helps me. I think the ppl that complain the most about it are the ones that dont make sure before moving on that the other guy is down. Once I see a 100 pop up on screen, I did my job, and move on.

Second chance can just be aggravating when you're have to spend an extra second killing someone who uses it that could have been spent getting away from the guy who just killed you. Although, I agree with it being a bit useless. I never get any kills with it and you can tell when someone uses it by how the fall after getting shot. The only use it has is the Pro version so you can be revived if a teammate saves you.

That actually the reason I do use it. If I can make the other guy spend another second to kill me, it (hopefully) gives my teammates another second to kill him or escape. If by some qwurk I manage to kill the guy while down, awesome.

No more annoying than a guy with Marathon, Lightweight and Dual Wielded shotguns, however (well... maybe that's more annoying, but still). It's part of the pros and cons of different things. People just need to stop whining.
