Anyone out there playing this?

I ask because I want to try Black Ops III, but I don't have a PS4 yet. I know that the PS3 version doesn't have campaign, but multiplayer and zombies featuring CoD's gunplay plus Mirror's Edge wall-running plus jetpack sounds fun. Also, as a fan of Deus Ex, I dig the overall aesthetic.

Anyone playing the 7th-gen version? Can you give me a mini-review? Finding early reviews online is difficult.

I will be staying away from that version personally, because as you said, the single player is gone. I'm also betting that the vast majority of reviewers are not even going to bother with that version, so you probably are going to have a hard time finding any real reviews (what I mean are reviews that aren't made by haters or fanboys).

HOWEVER, what I have heard is that the game is...well, it's junk. Now, I only heard this from Outside Xbox on YouTube, and they just mentioned it in passing ("They might as well have just swapped the disk with a handwritten note saying, 'Time to upgrade,'" were their exact words), but it pretty much confirms what I was suspecting. This is Dragon Age: Inquisition all over again. This version of the game is an afterthought, so if you do buy it, be prepared for what will certainly be an inferior experience.

Also, I just found the article they showed in the video. Give it a read if you want:

Tohuvabohu

Not entirely serious, maybe.

I'm not sure where to find a thorough review of the last-gen version. But, if you haven't seen what the last-gen version looks like, then you should at the very least see for yourself.

^To put it simply, I'm shocked by how poor the previous gen version looks. I think it even looks worse than other years-older CoD games which were released on last-gen consoles...

It's pretty obvious the game was targeted heavily on current-gen hardware. A last-gen version probably wasn't even considered until very deep into development. Also the fact that Treyarch themselves did not do the port-job for the previous-gen version.

I would find it difficult to justify a purchase of the last-gen version, unless you really want to experience the multiplayer. If that's the case, get it at a discount.
