Black Ops - Incredible campaign footage

It does look pretty interesting, the multiplayer customization looks very extensive and the single player actually looks like it's worth a damn.

But, as I've said before, I will not buy it. I will not support Activision, even indirectly, and thus will not buy this game or any future products with an Activision logo on it. That may cause me to miss out on some great titles, but oh well.

But, again, as I've said before, there's no reason why you guys shouldn't get a good game aswell. I wish everyone who's purchasing Black Ops, or any other Activision product, to have a good time with the game. It's your choice, and some of you may just ignore Activision's involvement and just look at the game itself, and there's nothing wrong with that.

I sincerely bid you a good game. Enjoy, I'll have fun with New Vegas perhaps, or Enslaved.

How about rent it, they may get a small portion of rental fee but atleast you get full enjoyment from it.

Just an idea, it's also a way of getting back at, I am guessing, Mr twatbag bag Kotick, you get full enjoyment of a game, while pay them little to nothing for.

Eh, I don't tend to rent, I like to take my time with a game, and sometimes go for the platinum trophy, so a week's rental isn't enough for me. Plus, I love that new game smell.

I'll most likely borrow it from my friend, we exchange games all the time.

The Famas is full auto now, it'll handle more like the G36C from COD4 by the looks of it.

Sleight of Hand Pro increases aim down sights time but not for Snipers.

Damn, I quite liked the burst fire of the Famas. Oh well, I'll keep using it if it's moderately decent. It's a sexy piece of weaponry to be sure.

Sounds like it might be fixed up then. I always preferred being a dick about it and taking the Barett with Scavenger and running around firing it at close range like a machine gun until I killed the enemy anyways. The raging caused by that was quite funny to hear when I decided to do it.

Yes, I'm seriously bummed over this. If I majorly suck, I am at least thankful when the game mercifully ends.

Still, since the killstreaks only go up to 11, doubt it will be an issue.

I don't think it will be difficult for Treyarch to make a better game than MW2. Qbert is a better game than Modern Warfare 2.

I was happy to hear the nuke was gone. Stupidest addition to a game ever, it completely ruined the objective games because everyone just camps for 7-11-25 kill streaks instead of going for flags.

It depends on the game, doesn't it? Sometimes simplicity works forever... look at Mario and Zelda, they've hardly changed in years and are still loved.

Leave the innovation to games like Mirror's Edge, Portal, Mass Effect.... I like my Call Of Duty to be simple, straightforward fun.

I think I, finally, get what you're coming at. But I don't think it's bad to want for every game to at least bring something new to the table. I mean, it's not like it could hurt, right? Well, maybe it could, but I think the kind of innovation it'd take for it to have a negative impact would have to be a really weird one.

I just find it boring to buy the same game with slightly enhanced graphics once a year.

I would too, that's why I'm kinda excited for all the new stuff that is going into Black Ops, as discussed a few posts up.

"That guys kicking ass, let's give him bigger weapons to kick ass with" seems to be the way they look at it. And perks are the same, i mean what the fuck really is with perks? your guy is just like everyone elses except his ammunition does slightly more damage and he can get ammo of their corpses and knife from 4 metres away.

Making everyone Superpowered =/= Balanced

I'll still buy Black ops if i have enough money left over from buying games I'm actually interested in

Not really... I played COD4 a few times over the last few weeks and Domination is much more fun because everyone rushes for the flags all the time.

There'll always be campers, but MW2 actively encouraged it.

And don't start me on the camping in Medal Of Honor... Jesus wept.

I think Treyarch will do a better job.

Apart from the MP40 and Second Chance, WAW was a very balanced game.

This is getting a rental first, I got tricked into believing all the hype for MW2 and I refuse to waste any more money on the series.

Don't get me wrong, it's a great game, but the lack of a killcam and the game/map design means that it's the camping snipers that dominate every match.

Just to slow down the hype train...


1) the core gameplay has been untouched, so expect the exact same feel as MW2.

2) the set pieces will amaze you once, but only once.

3) the thought of custom camo and face paint makes the possibilities seem endless, but remember what happened to LBP after a few months.

4) the currency system means people are actually ENCOURAGED to use the same guns all the time, since it is cheaper than buying new guns just to try them out. this means most matches will have more people using the best guns and best perks, and less people trying to be original.

Those are for the most part won't slow down the hype train becuase they're for the most part opinions.

also best guns? best perks? Even an unbalanced game like MW2 there was no best guns (well maybe the expection of the UMP45), all the assualt riles were good, none were bad, also how can there be the BEST perk? that makes no sense? All of them give a different style of play, so there can't be the best perk.

Looks like another generic scripted shooter, nearly on rails at that. Same unflinching formula this entire decade.

Well, folks will enjoy what they enjoy I spose. Just can't see how people get hyped up for the cloned formula every year. Call of Duty is the new Madden. Yep, I said it.

What do guys want? Everything that can be in COD game is in there. Name me some other stuff you want in it 'cos it can't be a whole lot or anything big.

It does have to have the same feel that COD does, otherwise it isn't COD. It's like if you take your favorite game then release it's sequel, it would have to feel the same 'cos thats what you expect.

It's more about what to erase from CoD. Regenerative health should be out, killstreaks should be out, grenade launchers and RPG's and other bullshit should be out, perks should be out, weapons that are not a part of the cold war era should be out and replaced with weapons that actually existed, campaign should be at least 3 times longer, free dedicated servers for PC, round based team deathmatch like in Counter Strike.

Here are some fine ideas.

I do play Counter Strike. Lots of it. And it's way better than these CoD games. More balanced, more tactical, more fun. CoD multiplayer allows only up to 18 people online and only in some mods. CS allows more than 30 people.
