So, yeah, basically what the title says. We finally have a full list of maps and killstreaks, although we don't know what they do yet.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/news/news-6734-Want-To-See-The-Names-of-CoD--Black-Ops-Multiplayer-Maps-and-Killstreaks-.html

Here's the linky, here are the screens.

My apologies if this has already been posted.

So, what do you think, guys? Is anyone else worried by the fact that all of them are so condensed into 11 kills?

I doubt any of them will be that important, but still.
Remembering the Kill Streaks don't add to your kill streak (if that makes sense) i think 11 is reasonable.
Oh.

Well, that's news.

Still, I don't think that having them packed in so heavily is a good thing.

SAM Turret at 4? Do want, being only 4 kills and used to shoot down killstreaks sound like a great idea.

Did they change that for Black Ops?
Because killstreak kills totally counted toward your next killstreak in MW2.

I don't mind if they changed it, I'm just curious.
Yeah they changed it, so kills with killstreaks don't get more killstreaks.

Attack dogs?!
There was attack dogs in World at War when you got a killstreak of 7. They are at 11 in Black Ops because the attack dogs in this game are going to be faster and more deadly than the ones in WaW.

Well I know what the killstreaks all do because I've probably looked at every single piece of leaked info and footage because I wanted to see if this would end up like MW2. At the moment it looks promising, though not without issues. Anyway:

Spy Plane = Shows enemies on the minimap. Exactly like UAV in MW2. People using the Ghost Perk do not show up.

RC-XD = Remote control car that you control and manually detonate. Though it has a timer so if it runs out you lose control.

Counter-Spy Plane = Jams enemy radar. Exactly like the Counter-UAV in MW2.

SAM Turret = Airdrops a placeable Missile Turret that shoots down air support.

Care Package = Airdrops a crate that contains a random killstreak or special weapon (like a Minigun or Four-barrelled rocket launcher)

Napalm Strike = Similar to Airstrike from CoD4 but leaves a trail of fire after it lands that wil kill anyone dumb enough to run into it

Sentry Gun = Airdrops a Sentry Gun you can place, same as MW2.

Mortar Team = Like WaW's Artillery strike except you choose three separate spots on the map to call it in.

Attack Helicopter = Same as CoD4/MW2 but you call it in in a specific spot like the Harrier Strike

Valkyrie Rockets = Airdrops a guided rocket launcher, works very similar to the Predator Missile except launched from the ground. Comes with two rockets with limited fuel.

Blackbird = It's an upgraded version of the Spy Plane - it also shows the direction people are going as well as their location, and it cannot be shot down. It also shows real-time information about enemy location, unlike the Spy Plane which sends out rader 'sweeps' every few seconds. Anyone using the Ghost Perk does not show up.

Rolling Thunder = Calls in a B-52 bomber to carpet bomb the hell out of the place. Pretty much the same as the Stealth Bomber from MW2

Chopper Gunner = Not quite the same as in MW2. It controls much like the helicopter section in the MW2 Spec Ops mission 'Big Brother' - also there's no glowing red squares/thermal vision and the bullets don't have the ridiculous blast radius like they did in MW2

Attack Dogs = Same as in WaW, calls in a group of Attack Dogs that automatically attack enemy players. Dogs can still be killed, but are a one-hit-kill this time, not a two-hit-kill.

Gunship = Pilot a helicopter armed with missiles and machineguns. Your view is from inside the cockpit, similar to that single-player mission revealed at E3.
And someone's already said it - killstreak rewards do not count towards your killstreak. So if you want that Gunship, you better get 11 kills with only your gun, grenades and equipment.

As for the maps, only some of them have been seen - Havana was on GTTV, Jungle was revealed for another website I can't remember. Radiation, Cracked, Summit and Launch were in the leaked Black Ops Beta - if you can find YouTube videos that Activision haven't taken down yet, they'll be on those maps.

Im hoping the SAM turret automatically shoots down all air support.

Also Im guessing the attack dogs are better if their replacing nukes.

Oh god how I hate dogs...

Also, I want a goddamned sentry gun; a SAM turret isn't the same thing. Sentry guns were ridiculously awesome if you were smart with them.

Well the killstreaks aren't stacked, so you have to go out of your way to get your next one; you can't just sit in the corner and let your current killstreaks get your future killstreaks. And the fact that they are condensed, with multiple killstreaks on most levels, means the player has to choose between two decent killstreaks - rather than in MW2 where you could get a decent reward at five, then six, then seven. It shows they've thought about it.

Nice information.
Let's see, today's the 29 so that's...
...
...
11 more days until 11/9/2010.

[edit]Also, the piece of equipment I'm most looking forward to is the balistic knife, a knife that is fired from the handle at your enemies. >:D

i like how the killstreaks are alot more useful now, SAMs and blackbirds are very useful and actually help you survive rather than just racking up kills.

i like how they reward the player but still dont punish the enemy like MW2, also im a big fan of perks like ghost and i think its annoying that we are only invisible to spyplanes then i realised that theres no red square or thermal so we are ok

i really hate to break the bad news but ballistic knife is a secondary NOT equipment. i found this out because i wanted sniper OR skorpion as a primary, crossbow as a secondry and ballistic as equipment BUT unfortunatly ballistic is also a secondry. tomahawk looks like a good alternative and im sure you can pick it up again

Exactly, now players can get a few kills to try and combat the winning team's killstreaks.

This sounds better and better!

Also Nuketown? Haha I can't wait to see how that map is.

i concur with you guys, 4 kills for something which shoots down other killstreaks is definatly a good thing

nuketown, im guessing will be like that town in indiana jones and the crystal skull

also since people are now inside airsupport does that mean we get a kill for shooting them down

As I said during that episode of Deadliest Warrior I don't understand what is so great about the Ballistic Knife. You pretty much give your weapon to your enemy if you miss.

The NRS-2 Knife [http://russian-weapons.com/2008/09/nrs-2/]
2:40 in but I like the lead up to it.

Not good if your on the other side of it though, you get the 11 killstreak and all some fecker has to do is pull out an anti air weapon or get 4 kills and your kill streak means jack shit.

I think that could be a major pain the arse, thats only thing I don't like at the moment.
