Suicide Mission brought me more into the moment than any ingame music I have ever heard in my life.

That last stretch in the base when the platforms moved into place for you to reach the collector's "project", oh my god. My m98 widow shots were syncing up with the music, I felt the adrenaline rush, the need to push forward, I never stopped moving. In one fluid motion I moved, unleashing everything man, Me Tali and Garrus were barely touched because most collectors died before their platform even got into place, the rest cut down by adrenaline-assisted assault rifle bursts.

If a new composer can do that for me in game, I'm all for it.

Crossing my fingers that the new guy wont ruin the ME3 soundtrack because the music in the ME1 & 2 are great.
You know... it's got to be me, i do have really bad hearing, so maybe that's something to do with it, but, ME1 and ME2's music just doesn't, stand out to me really. And this is coming from someone who loves the games. (I've prolly got a dozen games saves ready for ME3, almost all of which are stright carry overs from ME1...)

It's good music. But it's... no Halo music. That music, sticks in your head. I can't say the same for ME's music so far. It's plesent enough i've never wanted to turn it off or anything, but, i'm sitting here at work, right now, trying to humm it, or recall it's meloday, and can't... dispite the fact i played it LAST NIGHT. (ME1) So... this whole issue is kind of moot for me. So they got a new music man. *shrug* It'll either be better, or just as forgetable. No hair off my back. I'm far more intrested in how the game is going to branch, and turn.

Hello, everybody who likes the original soundtrack for Mass Effect games!Like as some persons here and others sites I am very dissapointed with the decision to hire Mr.Clint Mansell for ME3.
I can not understand the people which adore his kind of music, for mi its terrible, insipid, always the same type, dark, anxious, make me sick and I can not support to listen it even for a few minutes. The music of Jack Wall and co-writers is fantastic.Maybe some themes at Shepard´s cabin a little opressive but generally the music perfectly interlaces with the events you see at your screen and its impressive.Maybe, Mr.Mansell could write horror theme for death and destruction but I can not imagine other things.People, let save the music for ME3.If someone with prestige could write a petition of fans to Bioware to reconsider this idea.I would rather
prefer they take Mr.Mark Snow and Louis Febre.Listen "X-flies",serie "Smallville".This is awesome music.Bioware, please,do not make a big error,do not drop us to hell!BlastedTheWorm,I
am agree with you,Requiem drives person crazy,it is insane!

The music in Mass Effect 1 & 2 was completely serviceable, but nothing sublime.
Blasphemy

I bought Jack Wall's soundtracks for the Mass Effect series and enjoyed them immensely; I thought they did an excellent job of capturing the moods of the scenes.

I'll reserve comment on Mansell's work as I'm not familiar enough with it, but I can't help but be a bit disappointed that the composer that did so well for the first two games won't be back for the third and (probably) final one.

I agree...the first time i put the disc in i was in awe of how he captured that almost 70's - 80's sci-fi vibe and brought it kicking and screaming into the awesome future world of mass effect...that said, Clint Mansells stuff is pretty cool
