He never really knew what he was doing with himself. He dropped out of high school as soon as possible once he found out he could put his computer skills to use. When thinking about what he would do in the gang he always imagined feeding data to a squad holding up a bank. But, what he found himself doing is blending in to the large mass of faceless hackers.
At the age of seventeen he has lived in an innumerable number of apartments. They always seemed to be a small one room white cell. Before he could fully move in he would always get the message to pack up and get out. he had just sat down at his computer when he saw the message, only three words "Get out, now." At that moment the door flew in and a squad of police officers poured into the room.
Usually at this point everything would be different. Steve would have thrown his gear into a bag or two, scaled down a fire escape or set of balconies, and took off to the next spot. Not being able to do that this time, he ducked behind the bathroom wall and pulled the pistol from the waist of his pants. The officers flooded into the bathroom. They cuffed Steve and started to drag him out.
He heard a shot, to near for comfort. He quickly scanned himself to see if he had been hit. No, it wasn't him. But who? Out of the corner of his eye he saw an officer clenching his stomach and another with his pistol in hand. Steve was framed with murder charges and sentenced to life in prison.

Although she's on the wrong side of whatever can be called as law these days - She isn't a bad person at heart, she'll happily turn down a job if it falls against her morals.
As such Abi isn't one for killing someone in cold blood and will try and go out of her way when things get sticky to avoid bloodshed. When blood has too be spilled she will try for non (or not very) lethal shots if there is the option. Though if the people deserve too burn she'll quite happily set them alight (sometimes quite literally).
She has an obsession with fire, which often leaves her transfixed and in a different mind set too what she usually has (A more destructive side of her that she finds hard to shake out of sometimes. Occasionally it'll leave her even more laid back and happy whilst other times she'll be a bit more angrier than she should be).
Appearance: 5'8" and a slight build and somewhat pretty features, Abi has Ginger (though she prefers to call it firey) hair that goes just past the shoulders. Usually tied back in a pony tail or in pig tails.

Abi's life had been somewhat slow in her early years, living with her folks on a farm in the Middle of Nowhere GB post code - Du11 0mg.
Only thing that was keeping her entertained was burning the odd thing...An old shed here, a bush there and so on. And ragging about on the bikes
or hurtling across fields in the 4x4.
One day she found a stash of stuff that had the words "HIGHLY FLAMMABLE" and her faveroite symbol ever...Explosive, labelled all over them.
Obviously the only course of action was to set alight to something and then lob these things onto the fire, leg it and then watch the pretty flames dance.
And hope that the explosion is worth it!
10 or so minutes later she had a small bonfire going, within it's belly of fire were the objects of interest...Moving back to observe the wonder, she sat down to watch the fire grow.
As the fire grew in intensity and the first of the containers of stuff started to pop and send flames roaring higher, a brief thought flashed through her head when she heard a horse whinney..
"Should I have maybe not built that this close too the stables?"
This thought was quickly extinguished as the motherload went...BOOOOOOOOOOOOOM
The fire went from Red orange yellow too shades of green blue purple in a blink of an eye (Although you had no choice but too blink really as the flash was pretty intense!)
Burning debris went flying past her head as she giggled manically, where it landed it took flame - taking on the same otherworldly colourings.
The main fire wasn't so much of a bonfire anymore than a pit of wonderous flame.
All around her the fire spread creeping across the ground, up the walls of near by buildings eventually the whole yard was ablaze, in the beatuiful hues that Abi had not seen before and was transfixed with its elegant destruction.
It wasn't until a bolting horse nearly colliaded into her that she snapped out of her trance and as reality slowly seeped in panic started to replace euphoria.
All around her chaos reigned, beatuiful dancing chaos, but all the same - Her families property was getting destroyed faster than you could say "Got a light?".
Fearing the wrathe of her family she took off on a scrambler, all the while grinning as the flames rose higher.
A few years down the line Abi had worked her way into the city (which happened to have an increase in random fires shortly after).
Making a living from picking pockets and other such minor criminal acts Abigail eventually fall in with gang scene...
...Never really affiliating herself with one gang, she would drive for some be it from heists or just transporting things, act as pretty distraction (also known as seduction), lift desired things from targets - All for a price of course.
Eventually picking up a knack of picking locks which allowed her to get up to all sorts of mischief and increasing her resume of crimes.
Prior to arrest Abi was acting as driver for a heist, everything seemed to be going smoothly...She had about 3 mins left to relocate too the gangs point of exit and was just reclining in the front seat waiting.
Something caught her eye in the rear view, an a shape darting across a connecting ally from the one she was stopped in...A cat was the first thing that went across her mind, a beeping rang out from a watch, sitting up and adjusting her chair she saw something again...
This time she managed to glimps the trailing arms and legs of a person fleeting across the gap. An uneasy feeling started knotting itself in her stomach, turning the key the sound of the car purred into life.
She creeped the car towards the end of the ally way, counting down the last few seconds...Timing was critical if you were to make the getaway clean - At least that's how she thought...
"The streets quiet. Good, I guess."
The front half of the car exited it's place of rest.
"Three...Two..."
Before one could slide from her lips a volley of gun fire echoed around the surrounding buildings, sending scores of birds into flight...She expected too see people as well...Though the pavements and doorways showed no sign of life.
"...Fucking amatures!" filled the void where One should of been, thumping the steering wheel to punctuate the frustration.
Gunning it out of the alleyway and into the road kicking up smoke and grit as she went the car swung left, causing the back end to drift around the corner...Only too come head on too a blockade.
Screeching to a halt she glimpsed the building where her passanagers should of been exiting...Smoke was pouring from the doorway, a cop was dragging another one out of it.
The place was swarming with Police, a good half of them now looking at her (or at least her car).
She let out a sigh, shifted the car into reverse and went back the way she came...That was the plan anyway, less that 10 yards back she felt the tires go.
A sigh escaped her mouth as she put her head onto the steering wheel.
Seconds later a cop or 5 had surrounded the crippled vehicle, all guns pointing towards her.
One of them edged forwards, keep a pistol leveled at her and opened the door.
"Step out of the car and keep your hands where we can see them" he declared in a well rehursed manner.
Abi lifted her head from the steering wheel and pushed a lock of her firey hair from her face "I think I took a wrong turn, sorry Officer." She tried to say in a most convincing fashion, although she doubted he would actually fall for it.
Turning in her seat and putting a booted foot on to the tarmac she stepped out, her hands in the air...

She staggered as a blow too the side of her head nearly took her out. Turning to look, her assailant was lifting the butt of his rifle again...
With a slight smirk creeping across her lips she managed too slur out "That wasn't nice of yo..." cutting off as the second blow did the trick.

Name-Oliver Walder
Code Name: Red Eye
Age: 32
Personality: Hiding behind a personality full of smiles and charm Oliver uses his intelligence to charm his clients, but in reality he is an egomaniac. He thinks he is always right and hates it when people belittle him for his lack of a traditional education, because of this all his actions are centered around greed; believing that the more material wealth he would amass the more people would respect him for it. Behind the personality he shows the world, he is extremely focused towards his goals going to extremes to achieve them, if his elaborately planned con fails he will send Jacob to do a little 'Persuading' of his own without a twinge of guilt. He is antisocial using people more like things than human beings, however throughout the years Jacob has grown on him, and they have developed a strong friendship, but a little bit of mistrust still remains between them. However since the assault he has become extremely paranoid and doesn't know who he can trust.
Appearance - Oliver is a lanky man nearing 6 foot in height. He has dark brown hair cut short and parted on the left side, before his tech modifications his eye were greenish-blue in colour, but once the modifications were complete they have emitted an eerily red glow. His left arm if is modified to house the computer he uses. He has a small scar across his eyebrow and his chin from when he was kidnapped and beaten.
Occupation: Con-man, Hacker, leader of 'The Reavers'
Arrest Charges: Fraud, 25 counts of conspiracy to commit murder, hacking, forgery, identity theft, cyber warfare.
Tech/gene modification: His left arm houses the computer he uses to hack into and interface with other machines. He eyes have been replaced with mechanical eyepieces that allow him to 'see' data and interpreted as you would see a normal computer screen, using these eyes he can also since beyond the normal colour spectrum into ultraviolet and infrared. He also has the same same communicator as Jacob since he designed it. Unbeknownst to Jacob, Oliver can use this to wat connection to spy on him wherever he is.
Weapons: Carries a taser, but no other weapons
Background: From an early age his family and teachers would always describe Oliver as gifted. He showed sign of intelligence far higher than any of the other students in his class. However his parents lacked the finances to send him to the private schools where he could have excelled, instead he had to attend public schools where he felt that his efforts and intelligence wasn't recognised. He would openly mock the teachers and other students, until one day the professors in his college had the last straw and he was kicked out.
Too proud to apologise to the headmaster, he tried to find a job for himself using nothing but his wits. He soon discovered that without paperwork to show he had completed college he loathed the teachers of his collage even more and the bureaucratic hoops you had to jump through to get a respectable well earning job. He vowed to himself he would never stoop so low as to work at a fast food joint and soon turned his talents to learning to count cards so he could win his money in the various casinos in Las Vegas and later invest that 'hard earned' cash in property or the stock markets.
He found out that he was even better at counting cards then he had ever imagined, and with his wits and his luck he soon managed to raise almost one million dollars in cash. Soon his unstoppable winning streak caught the attention of the mob and the casino owners alike, he found himself with a bounty on his head and unable to slip out of his lavish hotel room unsuspiciously he panicked.
It was then that he meet Jacob, who was there to collect the bounty on his head. Luckily Oliver managed to convince him that he would be able to make much more money than a normal bounty hunter if they became partners in crime. As a show of good will he gave Jacob 60% of the money he had earned and managed to stash in an offshore account before the cops had frozen his assets. Since Jacob had nothing to give Oliver, Jacob told him he would get him out of the hotel he was cornered in. With newly form agreement Jacob smuggled Oliver out of the hotel before the cops could arrive to arrest them both.
Not being someone who's physically adept, and shies away from violence in all forms Oliver found Jacob to be the perfect partner. And since he'd only been able to rely on his wits and quick thinking since the start of his criminal activities, he now found himself to be able to start working the more difficult and dangerous 'Long-cons' with Jacob acting as support. Since that day Oliver and Jacob have been working together on their cons. However that doesn't mean that they've lost any of the distrust that they shared for each other on the day the first met. On their third job when they were trying to con one of the mob bosses out of his money, by promising him to invest it, but really intending to keep it to themselves. The job went sour, with Jacob rotting in a bar somewhere, he had no way to defend himself when the mob boss called his men on him. He was kidnapped and beaten bloody, it wasn't until Jacob had found out where he was being held he could make his escape.
Soon after that incident Jacob and Oliver formed a gang called 'The Reavers' he the leader and Jacob his right hand man. Together the set up a business buying and selling illegal tech modifications on the black market. They quickly cornered the market since whenever a rival gang tried to attack and take over their territory Jacob and has force of men would fight them back. Soon enough he had set up his own R&D department and started developing his own modifications.
However since the attack Oliver has been growing more and paranoid, financing himself through his private R&D department and the few jobs he did on the side, hacking, forgery, identity theft and cyber warfare so other people wouldn't know what he was up too. He designed and created the modifications he now wears today. And so he can keep tabs on Jacob during one of his routine 'tune-ups' he secretly fitted his communicator with a tracking device and audio recorder which stream directly into the computer built into his arm.
Unable to do anything to rescue Jacob all Oliver could do was listen as his friend vowed never to reveal his location. Distracted the militia stormed into his main office unabated. Even though he saw it too late he managed through up a few force fields around his study and snuck out of the secret exit he had hidden by holograms. Unfortunately they somehow new about his counter measure and surrounded him as he tried to escape.
He let himself be arrested without a fight, on his way to his execution and reunion with Jacob he wondered who had given him away and formulated a plan to escape.

Personality: Hiding behind a personality full of smiles and charm Oliver uses his intelligence to charm his clients, but in reality he is an egomaniac. He thinks he is always right and hates it when people belittle him for his lack of a traditional education, because of this all his actions are centered around greed; believing that the more material wealth he would amass the more people would respect him for it. Behind the personality he shows the world, he is extremely focused towards his goals going to extremes to achieve them, if his elaborately planned con fails he will send Jacob to do a little 'Persuading' of his own without a twinge of guilt. He is antisocial using people more like things than human beings, however throughout the years Jacob has grown on him, and they have developed a strong friendship, but a little bit of mistrust still remains between them. However since the assault he has become extremely paranoid and doesn't know who he can trust.
Appearance - Oliver is a lanky man nearing 6 foot in height. He has dark brown hair cut short and parted on the left side, before his tech modifications his eye were greenish-blue in colour, but once the modifications were complete they have emitted an eerily red glow. His left arm if is modified to house the computer he uses. He has a small scar across his eyebrow and his chin from when he was kidnapped and beaten.
Occupation: Con-man, Hacker, leader of 'The Reavers'
Arrest Charges: Fraud, 25 counts of conspiracy to commit murder, hacking, forgery, identity theft, cyber warfare.
Tech/gene modification: His left arm houses the computer he uses to hack into and interface with other machines. He eyes have been replaced with mechanical eyepieces that allow him to 'see' data and interpreted as you would see a normal computer screen, using these eyes he can also since beyond the normal colour spectrum into ultraviolet and infrared. He also has the same same communicator as Jacob since he designed it. Unbeknownst to Jacob, Oliver can use this to wat connection to spy on him wherever he is.
Weapons: Carries a taser, but no other weapons
Background: From an early age his family and teachers would always describe Oliver as gifted. He showed sign of intelligence far higher than any of the other students in his class. However his parents lacked the finances to send him to the private schools where he could have excelled, instead he had to attend public schools where he felt that his efforts and intelligence wasn't recognised. He would openly mock the teachers and other students, until one day the professors in his college had the last straw and he was kicked out.
Too proud to apologise to the headmaster, he tried to find a job for himself using nothing but his wits. He soon discovered that without paperwork to show he had completed college he loathed the teachers of his collage even more and the bureaucratic hoops you had to jump through to get a respectable well earning job. He vowed to himself he would never stoop so low as to work at a fast food joint and soon turned his talents to learning to count cards so he could win his money in the various casinos in Las Vegas and later invest that 'hard earned' cash in property or the stock markets.
He found out that he was even better at counting cards then he had ever imagined, and with his wits and his luck he soon managed to raise almost one million dollars in cash. Soon his unstoppable winning streak caught the attention of the mob and the casino owners alike, he found himself with a bounty on his head and unable to slip out of his lavish hotel room unsuspiciously he panicked.
It was then that he meet Jacob, who was there to collect the bounty on his head. Luckily Oliver managed to convince him that he would be able to make much more money than a normal bounty hunter if they became partners in crime. As a show of good will he gave Jacob 60% of the money he had earned and managed to stash in an offshore account before the cops had frozen his assets. Since Jacob had nothing to give Oliver, Jacob told him he would get him out of the hotel he was cornered in. With newly form agreement Jacob smuggled Oliver out of the hotel before the cops could arrive to arrest them both.
Not being someone who's physically adept, and shies away from violence in all forms Oliver found Jacob to be the perfect partner. And since he'd only been able to rely on his wits and quick thinking since the start of his criminal activities, he now found himself to be able to start working the more difficult and dangerous 'Long-cons' with Jacob acting as support. Rp'ing is a simple process really. The GM makes a post setting up what's going on, and your character reacts to it. Just put what they're doing, how they feel about a situation, and anything else. It's like if you were writing a section to a book.7moreDead said:

I feel -horribly- undergeared. But my guess is we won't be starting with any weapons, if we're being transported to a prison. I need to use more tech otherwise._.
Granted though, by not mentioning too much stuff for starters, I can improvise a bit if you introduce any tech or specific weapons during the RP. Sounds just as fun! Not sure what would exist in 2200 and my mind keeps drifting to Warhammer 40k consistently. But that doesn't fit entirely.
