Now then, I know there have bee an awful lot Half-Life 3, however, I happened to have stumbled upon something interesting. Having found a little webpage http://www.blappeture.com/ I decided to take a look into the script that made up the page, and I found something interesting, a little comment hidden away in the script under the tag . Something like this "".

Now I understand that this might just be some elaborate hoax and god knows we don't need any more HL3 hoaxes but maybe, could this be something? Go take a look for yourself.

Yeahhhh.....anyone else wanna go first? I have a general rule: never click on a link if the poster has less than 100 posts. I'm not touching that link until someone says it's okay. No offense OP, but I've been burned before.

Don't worry, it's safe!

And I think it is most likely a hoax, there have been so many already.

It's legit. It's been going around for a couple of days now.

...

OT: No reason to believe this is anything more than another hoax.

Yeah this was on the Escapist home page a few days ago. Probably just a fan service, but who knows with Valve.

Alas, it looks like the whole thing is an elaborate troll. While some long-suffering Half-Life fans are continuing to search for the hidden meaning, the general consensus is that somebody is messing with us. Steam forum users, and probably others elsewhere, pointed out that the audio clip is actually an Easter egg found in the new "Perpetual Testing Initiative" DLC for Portal 2, and the rest of it could have been put together by anyone. As a long-suffering Half-Life fan myself, the mere reference to Black Mesa in a Valve game gives me hope that somewhere, somehow, the wheels are turning, but this particular site? It's fun, but I don't think there's anything to see here.

It seems like a troll to me. They've got some weird stuff going on with the actual mp3 location, which is on another website that hosts the internet time machine. And also, I doubt a Valve-sponsored attempt would mention GabeN quite so much in any javascript they wrote.

I'm sure it's just a troll, but check out what else was hidden in the source:

http://ia601207.us.archive.org/1/items/BlappetureMesa/gabe.mp3

A second voice clip, one from Gaben instead of Cave Johnson.

Edit: Ooh, and an alternative logo:

Edit Edit: Oh, now that's awesome. It's not buried, it's actually an easter egg. Click on the logo for some lulz.
