Blazblue: Continuum Shift Announced

BlazBlue CS has been officially announced for consoles and has a set release for sometime in the fall. Yay! CS introduces a few new modes such as legion mode from the portable version, new characters Hazama, Tsubaki, and Mu-12 to the roster, and a some changes to the mechanics, such as the guard primer system and making astral heats a little easier to pull off.

I'm not sure if that release date applies to countries outside of the US though. Considering how long it took for Calamity Trigger to get to Europe I doubt it.

Anyway, anyone else excited?

I thought this was announced a while back.

At any rate, I never played the first but always was interested to do so because I think that one hooded girl character who looks like a cat is hot.

Not really a good reason to want to play a game, but still, it looked pretty fun.

Nope, it was announced in Japan for July, but they didn't give an official release timeframe for any other countries.

They did re-balance some of the characters. Nu is has changed to Lambda and has been nerfed, according to Japanese players Rachel has been nerfed into the lowest tier, while Bang is near godly followed close by Litchi. Those are probably the biggest changes to the characters.

Also do you have any news on when the original BlazBlue is going to be released on PCS in other countries other than Japan?

Nope, it didn't have an official time for places outside of Japan, and sorry but I don't have any info on the PC version.

Man I love BlazBlue, I really do. It's a great fighting game, the characters are all unique and interesting (with the exception of Carl who I suck dick with) and the story is fairly decent as well - for a fighting game, anyway.

But god damn if that release date in the EU didn't put me off it so much.

So yeah, I'll get excited for Continuum Shift when it actually comes out. Until then I'll just grumble some more.

It was announced a while back, as far as I know. I remember reading it comming out on 7/20 on TVtropes a week or two ago.

Either way, I'm seven kinds of stoked for it. I loved Guilty Gear, and I'm legally married to BlazBlue, and now I finaly have a system to buy it on (I got my friend to buy BB on his 360, I'll be getting CS for myself)
I can't wait to try Hazama.
I used to play Jin, but that's because I played Ky in GG. I think I'll play around before I choose for sure.
