So did anyone buy this game, and if so, was it any good?
I've seen some videos and it looks like good fun- a little lax on the customisation I'd assume, but the artistic style is appealing.

I bought it and I love it. I highly recommend it. Gameplay is fast and solid and it has good voice acting.

I've had a lot of fun with it, it's a very good fighter for people who love 2d Art and hate fighting games.

Oh, cheers :D
Should have realised the Escapist would have stepped in. Still good to get some public reception of course.

Since it's a PS3 game you can import from the US and it'll play on your PS3. Whether it's out here in the UK or not, I think I'll be getting my hands on one.

And then there's the review. Which is far more detailed then what I said.
Which is never a bad thing. :)

BlazBlue is fun, but online multiplayer is super unfriendly. Get the Limited Edition, which shows you the necessary combos. Honestly, I loved it for the first couple weeks and then went back to Street Fighter after I'd played through the main story.

If, or when, I buy the game, it would be for the Xbox 360, but I'll have to look this up. Kinda really want the game.
No, it's not available in Europe for 360, major downer since I really wanted it too.

I haven't bought it, I don't pay for Arcade Fighters anymore, but I played it and enjoyed it. Some characters seem ridiculously underpowered but whatever, it works.

If you are a fighting game fan, this is one of the "must-have" games this year.

Beware thought, if your planning on going online with this game, get ready to be pwnz0rbbq'd by people playing sense launch date.

I would also suggest picking up a stick.

Blazblue, made by the people that gave us Guilty Gear, featuring...

A very pissed-off sword-wielder
A katana-wielding nut-job
A surprisingly-effective gun user
A short aristocratic vampire
A resurrected half-metal guy
A strange and funny cat-thing
A quick-as-hell staff user
A shape-shifting blob-thing
A freakin' over-the-top ninja
A kid with a robotic war machine
A no-faced ancient hero-paladin
A very strange blade-using cyborg

Enjoy!

It will be released on the 1st quarter of 2010 for Xbox360, PC and PS3. As a compensation, some new characters will be included.

My own question is: I own Guilty Gear XX Reload and Guilty Gear Accent Core. I'm thinking of picking up BlazBlue for the PC when it becomes available. Are there any serious differences from the aforementioned games?
