Name~ Akai (pronounced "ah-KAI"), also known as "The Traitor"
Race~ Unknown, was considered a shinigami until he found a strange mask in his possession.
Sword name~ Kurosakura
Weapon~ Zanpakuto. Handle is two pieces of wood with the blade's tang sandwiched between them. The blade is eerily shiny and the handle's wood is colored like congealed blood. The blade is of moderate length and width, giving the appearance that it's hiding away much of its power. Its spirit appears as a beautiful but morose-looking young woman with long black hair, ghostly, whitish skin, and ocean-colored eyes, all clad in a black kimono. She also carries her own blade and has hidden powers that not even Akai knows of.
Shikai~ "Despair". Blade turns into thousands of black sakura petals which incite dementia, depression and hopelessness in enemies on sight. They arrange to form a katana blade just as strong and sharp as it was before Shikai, though a little longer.
Bankai~ The blade remains in its normal form. However, innumerable rain drops fall from the sky, which can turn into long blades and pierce enemies at Akai's discretion, or form bodies of water to drown, slam, or otherwise damage an enemy.
Description~ Wears a hakama as black as night. Carries two combat knives as well as Zanpakuto. Hair is messy and black. Has piercing bluish-green eyes.
Bio~ Akai was a shinigami of adolescent appearance but unknown age, who became violently rebellious of the Soul Society after its various atrocities and his refusal to participate in them. He often finds himself in the center of great conflicts. Akai was supposed to be executed a few months ago by shinigami, but ended up becoming the executioner, killing all shinigami present and acquiring a strange mask in the process. It is unknown whether he is actually alive, or whether he is still a shinigami at all. He is wanted dead by both the shinigami and hollows for his dissension and the deaths he has caused on both sides. He is friendly with Quincys and allies himself with any surviving. He is usually quiet, and has a strong sense of justice, dignity and honor, but is subject to random behavior and psychotic tendencies which originated long before his mask appeared.

EDIT: I will update this description of my character as the story advances, so if you find my character very interesting for some reason feel free to check back. I'm not going to edit something after it has been been revealed in the story, though (i.e. not going to change Shikai after the Zanpakuto has been released).
