So,it seems blizz's so called "security" just fucked me out of my b-net account.
So, i recently got my hands on diablo 3's collector's edition. activating and installing goes well, then the problem arises like a demon from the burning hells when i get to logging in.I actually manage to log in, but then i get a message about some "suspicious activity" and that i need to do a password recovery. I do it, according to the instructions, but fuck all happens, when i try to log in, same problem. then i tried again.same shit. this repeated another 3 times. Then out of nowhere my b-net account get completely locked down, saying too many unsuccessful attempts have been made, and tells me that i need to contact customer support. But to open a fucking ticket i need to be logged in, and the problem is that the lockdown is preventing just that.So i write an email to customer support and get an automated response saying that they abandoned the email and only use the phone/ticket system. So effectively i have been fucked out of my battle net account by the very system that is built to prevent shit like this from happening

Great job blizzard.Great fucking job. That'll teach me to give you money

update- it seems that their system is having hickups, because battle net let me log in for just about enough time to submit and angry ticket before booting me out again. After doing some research (AKA googleing) it seems that more account have fallen victim to the security system then to hackers

I'd wager the email you got about suspicious activity was a phishing scheme.

Call customer support, they will have it sorted out in a few minutes.

I had an issue just like yours with WoW B.C. and it took all of 7.5 minuets on the phone to unlock and restore my access to my account.

I doubt it would be a phishing scheme, since the battenet website told me to check my email- i did, lo and behold an email from blizz i received mere seconds before

Oh alright, my mistake then.
I guess you'll have to call 'em up then. It's quite unfortunate, but thems the breaks.

I get around it by just avoiding blizzard games :p

Well since you got the collector's edition, play Diablo 1 and 2 instead from that soulstone usb. Still I hope this problem of yours is sorted out soon.

This is what the top 3 thing in my inbox are

Blizzard Entertainment(7)- Battle Net Account Password Change Notice
Blizzard Entertainment(6)- Password Recovery
Blizzard Entertainment(10)- Battle Net Account Locked- Action Required

This amount of bullshit just has to be record breaking
