Of course, this is all moot if the servers immediately collapse (which they almost certainly will), but let's keep our fingers crossed that Blizzard knows better than EA how to avoid a SimCity-esque catastrophe.
Have we already forgotten about Diablo 3?

OT:What is weird is I am actually looking forward to this... and I don't even like RTS's (excluding Rome: Total War). My friend has been bugging me to get SC2 and this might be a good point to join.

Sadly, I will be at work tonight when this launches. However, when I get out of work, I will be heading to my local game store, pick up my copy, go home, play a little bit of it...then go to bed and wake up (hopefully) in time to do the work thing all over again.

Starcraft 2 is still a thing?

That game is dying fast in the competitive scene, quickly becoming outpaced and out-money'd by league and marvel. The fewer sponsors it gets, the fewer players it will get at the higher end, and unless Blizzard does something to make the game less shit it will continue until there are no progamers left.

And then it'll just be a subpar PvE RTS, leaving Warcraft as the only Blizzard franchise left that hasn't been ruined (and let's be honest here, that lore was ruined around the time WC3 came out, but at least the game still has players).

Sad times. Guess I'll just hold out until HL2 Ep 3 hits, which... should be sometime this decade.

Hmm, well I just cancelled my Amazon delivery because they still hadn't despatched despite me paying for 1st Class, so I couldn't see it arriving on time. I may just buy it from my local supermarket after work tomorrow, or else buy it online before I head off to work.

11pm this evening means I could get it tonight, but for some reason it's slightly more expensive for a download than a retail copy.
I don't get that either but apparently they charge extra for people that want to be able to preload the game and play the game launch day. Which always goes according to plan, right? Anyways, this isn't a new thing for ActiBlizz.
