Well if you and your friends are paying about 180 dollars a year, then think its a swell deal to buy a 50 dollar expansion pack on top of that...

I wouldnt say that someone who considers that to be a good deal to be discerning consumer.

Some people put way, waaaaay more money than that into their hobbies (some people take all their friends out to dinner and put down 180 bucks for ONE MEAL). I personally don't care if some people spend thousands every year on a particular sort of entertainment, if that's what gives them joy, then where's my place to criticize if they're not forcing me to do it? I've tried jumping ship to other MMOs, but in the end all my friends stuck with WoW and refuse to leave, but we still have a lot of fun and I certainly think it's worth it.

And that's fine for me, doesn't have to be fine for everybody. A lot of people are plain sick of the gameplay which is far from revolutionary now, and I understand that. I still have fun with it. But do you have to insult other people because they don't have fun the same way do you?
