Ok, so this is essentially just a rant, but I needed to let it out somehow, and I'm sure that there must be others that have been affected similarly.
Maybe I should explain, though...
I recently started playing the trail of WoW (early October), but had to wait until the 27th for a paycheck in order to upgrade my account. Well, I had fully planned on applying for their Diablo III promotional, but it appears that I cannot. There is a qualification date of October 18, 2011 attached to the terms of the promo, stating that your account had to be activated on or before that time.
I sent them a distressed e-mail stating how i was constrained by my financial situation, and they answered back about 2 minutes later that basically said "Sorry, we understand. Love, Blizzard." That's it. Not even a good explanation like "We're sorry, but those are the rules, and we can't break them." Just a simple "Sorry, there's nothing you can do." I kind of feel shat upon.
Has anybody else had either this or a similar difficulty when dealing with a gaming company?
