While i would agree that this is seldom used in proportion to people playing net games its a pretty odd choice for a sequel to a game that had such a huge tournament scene.

Charging for battle.net and sinking lan play is, for my interests, the killer of SC2. It's not so much that multiplayer is a big thing for me, or even one that factors into any of my decision making process. It's just that the needlessly long delay, incesant overdevelopment, and despotic restrctions puts Blizzard into a catagory of developers that 1.) I don't like and 2.) I don't have any confidence in because by all appearances Blizzard is just milking their cult-like fanbase for as much as they can get with little regard to the decency of their actions or the quality of the resulting experience, both in game and pre-launch. Even if they manage to get the game out the door, and do a decent job at that, there's nothing they can do to convince me that their decade long policy of bullshit was worth supporting.

Sorry, but it IS a big deal to me, and you don't get my money on D3 or SC2 without LAN. Thanks for snubbing your fans (you know, the reason you even HAVE a franchise to screw into the ground) and telling them their opinion is invalid. That makes it pretty easy to call you exactly what you are: Jerks.
Well said.

No LAN, makes me NOT buy this game. SC was THE rts game for LAN-parties.
Sad to see that SC2 wont be the promised follow-up for that, same as C&C4, that ruined the franchise but at least they tried something new and so far SC2 aint showing anything new either!
