Okay, serious question...why isn't Lost Vikings 2 in the arcade collection?
As far as I'm aware, Blizzard's never made LV2 available in any form outside the original. It wasn't on the GBA re-release, it wasn't on the original B.net, and it's not available now. Why? Is it a rights thing? Yes, they know it exists, if only because Fang and Scorch are mentioned in HotS, and it had a cameo in the 30th Anniversary Carbot trailer, but is it a rights issue? A code issue? Something else?
Huh? Oh, right, people don't care about that. So...
a) The reason Reforged came out the way it did lies more on management than the developers themselves. In the Bloomberg January interviews, it was established that the release date was announced before the developers even knew, so their original planned dev cycle was rushed.
b) If we attribute it to the developers, Reforged was developed by Classic Games and Team 1. Resurrected is being developed by Team 3 and Vicarious Visions. That doesn't magically make it good, but VV's shown their stuff at least (see the N. Sane Trilogy for instance)
c) Resurrected is a separate product from the original D2. As in, part of the issue with Reforged was that it made WC3 retroactively worse. Unless you're creative, you can't NOT get Reforged, even if you don't use its graphics. In contrast, D2 and Resurrected are completely separate. Reforged could crash and burn, and you'd still be able to get the original D2.
Whether it's good or not, I don't particuarly care (never liked D2), but those are the facts as they stand.
I can only guess they're so scared of a similar backlash to Immortal they want to announce mobile games under the radar or something?
I don't particully care about the mobile games, and it's bizzare that they've only got one game to show for it, but I figure go all out. The Diablo fanboys already have D2R and D4, so you can't piss them off again.

I'm not defending Reforged, but the reason I'd bet money that D2 Remastered would be different because:I would argue that when it comes to Activison Blizzard there is no level of cynicism that is too much. I posted earlier Warcraft 3 remastered lies, the Blizzcon vs actual graphics. This is the exact same company. Why should this time be any different?

Citation needed. Also the Starcraft remastered wasn't well received, and neither was the Crash Bandicoot remake.
I'm kind of surprised too.I'm shocked there wasn't a mobile game announcement besides Diablo Immortal existing.
