This looks like a potential breakout title for me. I'll wait for a more complete version before committing to it though.

Cool, I hope they support joysticks. I love any excuse to break out my Saitek. I hope fighters are viable, not just dreadnaughts.
X45 owner here. I haven't had an excuse to use it since X3, Terran Conflict (and that game...eh).

The weapons/mining beams(?) don't seem to be influenced much by the ship itself. I hope I'm wrong or they change that. If I'm getting this, I am ofcourse building a ship that's essentially just a giant energy cannon with propulsion. If that becomes possible, I'll be all over this.
Prepare the Wave Motion gun!

My self I'd prefer a Last Starfighter "Death Blossom" weapon.
I'll take a Bydo-Charged Wave-Form Cannon and a Cyclone Force, please.

Barring that, well, I'll just have to recreate the TIE-Avenger.

Awesome :D Another game that got some inspiration(not entirely copied, you know who you are) from Minecraft and expanded it into a whole different direction. [sub][sub][sub]Also the creator readily admits getting inspiration from Notch, and even thanks him, unlike some devs we all know... /rant[/sub][/sub][/sub]

Hopefully I can manage to get the free version running, or they release a version the doesn't have such strict software requirements, sometime soon.

And it has reached over 900 sales. Sure, that doesn't like much, But 9000 bucks can go a long way to keep a fledgling game developer alive.

Some time ago, i was thinking. Damn, someone should make a Minecraft Space mod where you can design your own ships and stuff... And here it is, only as a new game. Well its not as awesome as I thought, you know, with orbit bombing the shit out of planets and charting star systems TNG style, but it will get there someday.(I hope)

Finally a minecraft-like game that isn't an obvious rip (like FortressCraft).

Oooh, I never even thought of remaking R-Type ships. So much want now.

Here, Blockade Runner devs, take this:

Unless I'm reading this wrong, it looks like $10 will get you the full version of Release 1, but that's it. I'm not interested in shelling out for each individual release version, if you're going to sell the game, at least make an option to pick every release pre-purchasable in one lump sum, so that I can gauge whether or not I really want to build this beauty:

This looks pretty cool!

I'm pretty sure we'd all build Millennium Falcon's though, lol.

Speak for yourself, I've got hundreds of my own designs to get built before mining Star Trek and other franchises.

Although yeh, 90% of ships in this game are going to end up being from Star Trek or Star Wars.

Have to say, this looks very very interesting... ..hope that the product is as interesting and easy to pick up as the video seems to suggest.

Each release seems to just be another upgrade, sort of like a checkpoint/benchmark for the game's progress.

Edit: Actually you were right. I'll just stick to the free version until it really gets good.

it looks like a lot of fun. I'm a huge minecraft fan, and I might get this.

I'm a bit wary though, the "fund this project to make it a reality" sort of gives off the vibe that it may never get finished. I'll probably wait to buy.
They might just need a constant, if slow, source of income to make it and they certainly need exposure.

Yeah, I did some digging, each release gives more stuff, but you have to buy it anew each time. Granted you get a discount, but fucking shit I'm not going to pay each time these guys want to update their game, that could very easily run into $70+ for the whole game and it's just not a sound investment IMO, who knows how many of these 'releases' they could go through.

That actually sounds like a hell of a lot of fun. I'll keep my eye out for this, but I given how little I play I probably won't get it.
