I'd gladly give blood extremely regularly if I was allowed. Being gay and sexually active apparently means I can't in a lot of countries
Well, I did have a fear of needles until 2 had to be jammed into my wrist so I can't use that as an excuse.
But honestly, I don't donate blood because, injecting stuff into my body is fine with me, but taking stuff out of my body with a needle freaks me right out.
I do have some friends who donate blood though, so they can just take my portion from them.

That time a year? I was my first time a year and a half ago, now I've been 4 xDmarcooos said:
I go as often as I can so about 4 times a year, (once every 3-5 months) depending on when they arrive to my town.
But yeah, it helps people, it's good for your own body and some of the nurses look really good.
From Finland by the way so I don't get any money from it just free coffee, sandwiches and cupcakes. But that's enough for me

I feel pretty strongly that everyone who can give blood should. I don't know what the situation is in the States, but in the UK we are shockingly short of donors. It's not that much trouble to do, barely affects you at all in the great scheme of things and it is literally life-saving. I also wish more people would consider other forms of donation too, like platelets and bone marrow, though admittedly those things are far more intrusive and unpleasant and would require a lot more contemplation.
Granted some people hate needles, but if there's any chance at all you might one day get over that then I'd definitely say to try it. I used to end up a shaking wreck at the mere thought of having a vaccination, but more or less forced myself to confront it so that I could give blood. I think I may have gone a bit too far in the other direction now though, as I've since become a big fan of piercings and tattoos

Huh... I just checked the rules for my country and apparently I can't donate because I weigh less than 45kg. I still think I could take it, but meh.
I give blood four times a year. Not liking needles or having a fear of needles is not an excuse.

I joined with a friend the first time and since then I'ev been going.

I'm not allowed to donate blood any more because my body has a bad reaction to it and the doctors don't want to risk me hurting myself.This really sucks because I have 0- blood so its essentially liquid gold and I'm more than willing to possibly put myself at danger as I know it could save someone's life.
I have a sinus infection at the moment and it feels like my sinuses each hold the contents of the Atlantic Ocean. Can I be exempt from donating blood for now?
